I'm RAKESH SHARMA. I'm Cyclist. actually, I'm a long-distance Cyclist. I done K2K Kashmir to Kanyakumari by bicycle solo 4000km+,12 states ride in 51days without money and I have also done Kathmandu to Delhi by bicycle solo 1500km ride in 23days.motive is to promote bicycle culture in India.
I'm a traveler, KZfaqr, blogger & Astrologer.
I started traveling in 2018. my first travel was from Delhi to Mcleodganj, Himachal Pradesh.
I have done Triund TREKKING in this journey.
2850mtr hight. TREKKING was very adventurous. the snowstorm was during my trekking. I uploaded a video of the full TREKKING in three-part.
My 2nd travel destination was Srilanka. it was a great experience. I go first to Chennai and then Chennai to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
I visited Sigiriya. it's in central Sri Lanka. Hindus believe it's Ravana's place. Ravan ki Lanka.
some people believe it's Budh's monastery.
some Srilanka's people believe it's king Kashyap's palace. I recorded a video when I was traveling to Sigiriya.

What you are saying is 100 % correct. Iam from Maharashtra..Pune, and feel outsiders are spoiling Hindu /Catholic togetherness culture of Goa.I always discourage outsiders to buy properties in Goa. Outsiders can be tourists....not owners, let goans live peacefully....

You are absolutely right. I'm also from DELHI and I also feel it. Lots of problems in north Indian. But I do my social responsibility. And I started. I ride 1000km cycle in goa for save mollem. U know wt forget North or south when I saw any person throwing garbage I think like go and kick them in beach n let the news come next day that a person was found dead because of throwing garbage😂😂😂 But this is just a thinking at least on sanday I give 1 hours to clean my area n I never feel ashamed but happy to see clean area

@E Martins Dear Sir, I had also experienced rude behaviour way back in 2015 when I visited Goa on my own bike as part of an adventurous group of bikers. For no reason, while on a red light, I was waiting for the light turning red, a young Goan boy began abusing me. A hot exchange of words ensued and to my sheer disappointment, the traffic constable also joined the erring Goan. I wish wisdom prevails. God bless them all.

Goa was hub of brahmins before Portuguese entry. After 1500 AD portuguese converted into hub of alcohol and party. Saraswat culture went to backseat.

I'm in goa from last 7 months and maybe I will stay more one year than I shif in pondicherry than meghalay. Now I feel in goa or other tourist places. Tourists done Rash driving , Drunk and drive They genret lots of trash Disturbing nature Disturbing locals Disturb local culture Shouting, loud music & some time teasing, staring women. Not all tourists but lots of. Family tourists also sometime damage nature, throw trash everywhere . But observe foreigner protect animals & nature. They like clean. You have touched up on a very important topic. I have been to Goa many times since 2008. My experience is same - tourists are primarily responsible for garbage. Back in 2010 Arambol used to be one of the cleanest beach. That time fewer Indians used to visit this beach. Now you will find bottles and plastics everywhere. Hope authority will take strong step.

I am a outsider.. But i feel like goa is one of best place because of thr culture beaches and food and many more that you can explore.. It's a best place to have peace.. It's is really not all about party and drinking and have chill.. You can do that but atlst do not spoil the nature of goa.. I jus love love love goa and thr people are really very nice.. I appreciate your observation that Goans don't shout even when they are in group of 5-6 young boys. I actually liked this trait of Goan people during my first visit with family to Goa in early eighties. I agree that a few black sheeps are found in any part of the world, not to talk about India only. If you ask me personally, I love Goa. Unquestionably, it is my favourite cup of tea - proverbally speaking.

Thanks for your comments. Very true. We have been coming to Goa for years and have progressively seen things getting bad to worse. Hope you can keep bringing awareness to tourists especially from the North as to how to behave when in Goa. We have more or less decided not to go to Goa as we have seen how the behavior of tourists has become worse every year. Especially in North Goa. No wonder they dislike us!

Very very valid observations. I am settled in Goa for 5 years now and I feel embarrassed at how tourists behave at times. To add on, whenever u hear a vehicle honking u can be assured it is a tourist. I urge people to respect the culture of Goa. yes we goans r a peaceful community and would like to be respected and not taken us for granted, many a time we have noticed these so called tourist or outsiders try to be chirpy with our locals and stand a stare at our girls and ladies which is not and will never be tolerated that's the reason they get beaten up, even those females who come with them try to encourage the men to be nasty with the goans, every state has to be respected so don't think u all can come here and spoil the atmosphere around us, try going to Dubai and behaving like this u will be in a lockup they r so strick and will not tolerate anything of this nature learn to behave yourselves before dashing to our beautiful goa

I'm in goa for some time with my family and my two dogs. I take my stand. Lots of time I discuss with tourists at beaches, panjim etc. Some understand & some people are not. I wish every Indian Tourist specially North Indian people have a mindset like you. I am a goan, we love to mingle with people we love to sing & dance enjoy non-veg food & drinks but everything is done in a most respectable manner. By drinking alcohol we do not loose our cool & become like wild animals. Our goans wedding is an example & proof of decency, respect & broadmind amongst young & old goans. Our men dance sing along with our pretty girls including senior citizens. This is our GOAN CULTURE. To sing, dance, drink & eat non-veg is not an offense but part of our culture. One more thing every catholic goan young & old take part in dancing on the wedding floor. This is our tradition which the Non-goan think is against Indian tradition.

I am a goan and yeah . I really have no hates for tourists/ outsiders. Literally most of the tourists I see they either dirty the place or be very rude. But yeah we goans do avoid talking to tourists. But if they are kind and don't do the dirty things.i will always help and let them know direction and stuff. See mostly tourists have accidents very common. Even between two different tourists groups they fight and stuff. But I live in bardez . And near pani puri shops thingy they be so rude to stop over there and wash their hand front of their stalls. And I witness the shop keepers. They saw But didn't say anything. But then he drop the food plate . ( their own food not of the shopkeeper) And made a mess . Atleast say sorry but he didn't bother . . The shopkeeper said why ur doing this here. And then he was like I am giving the dogs .(directly on the road.) Not even on the footpath they keep clean . And the shopkeeper of course got angry at it and he said if the police saw this . U would get ur lesson. In hindi they talked . So .... of course what can we goans do about it..

Bro, there is no doubt Goa is a favourite holiday destination for many (Indian as well as foreigners). Government also earning revinue from tourism. Government must take proper action for maintaining law and order, cleanliness and maintaining local culture intact. Anyone who are not obeying the rule should be punished as per law. No one can disfigure image of local culture. Every temple in Goa is having dress code. People should respect it. Government should take proper action against offenders.

Goa due to its recent colonial past is more aligned towards European culture of maintaining cleanliness...this is a good thing.....sadly people from other parts of India are less adaptive towards this & its a fact that we Indians do in fact litter garbage in some form or the other wherever we go....specially in tourist places !

I request all that while commenting and resultant counter-comments, keep one point in mind, social harmony shouldn't be disturbed. Otherwise, we all would suffer in the long run. Don't you believe that black sheep allegedly disturbing Goan culture and environment may possibly be handled by Goan police which is culturally rich and nice like all domicile Goans. It's my opinion. We goans were never having issues with maharashtra, kerala,tamilnadu, but especially when states like up, bihar, gujrat, delhi they created a mess in goa... karnataka is always in conflict with goa with water ,land, forests issue etc... and outsiders created a mess by destroying our nature, destroying our heritage etc .... they are trying to rule us... so our opinion is when outsiders are coming, come enjoy but don't try to implement your control and destroy our nature and one last thing outsiders are distributing us as hindu and Christians , we goans are united as hindu and Christians but outsiders are always trying to divide us..... proud to be pogo ( person of goan origin)

Goa is a small place , with limited land , water and electricity . Can you guess why we Goans, don't really appreciate overpopulation especially by people with different moral & cultural code ? Because it leads to the change of demographics & this has resulted in the various, tourist scams by people from other states I don't want to stigmatize all people of India but a huge portion of non Goans residing and doing business or employment in Goa are part of some political cum Mafia Nexus running some kind of scam the following is a summary of the various ( Geo-Tagged Scam) , A. Kashmiris run old women scams ( marriage to Rich old women , old enough to be their grandmother) ( Buddhi patao England Jao) B. Agra & Jaipuri people run jewellery scam ( Dabba- Credit Card Scam) C. Kerala, Bihari & U.P alongside with poor girls ( from North East) run Massage parlor Happy ending scam . D. Maharashtra ( Malvan , Shiroda) watersports scam E. Karnataka , gypsy women massage , flesh trade scam. On the Beaches. F. Bengali & Kerala people run , construction contract Scam G. Bollywood-Mafia has taken over an entire district in south Goa for starting Bollywood FilmCity in Goa , dispossessing , Goans, in Chandor ( Chandrapur) and adjoining areas H. Where is all the Drugs coming from ? Karnataka, Kerala, Kashmir, Nepal, Orissa, .. I want to go on but I hope you get the message. As a Goan I completely agree with this fact that non Goans create nuisance in parts of goa. Non Goans thinks that Goans are clubbing day and night. This mindset which non Goans have that Goans party day and night is false. The Goan culture is not limited till our beaches. Goa is more than jus beaches. And has a vast ancient cultural heritage which non Goans dont bother know.

Problem is in history, today's goans Christian population (only Christian) are not pure Indian (neither pure Kannad nor maratha) they are cross breed of Indian and Portuguese.
