So basically I can daisy chain my 2 sherpas together by configuring 1 USBC port as output only and the other as input only.

Living of grid I’ve been using mine with two Boulder 50 solar panels. I checked with Goal Zero before getting my solar panels and they told me you can use up to 100 watts worth of solar panels and the Sherpa 100 AC will take up to 60 watts max. The idea is always getting the maximum wattage the Sherpa can take and if you use 50 watts of solar in cloudy days you will not have a full charge. As Photographer and Videographer I travel a lot and live out of my car and this set up is being amazing. Tip for those who wants to charge drone batteries: I got from BRONINE a USB-C charger that’s modular and you buy the plate for the battery you want to charge, I charge mi DJI Air 2S batteries with that. I’ve looking for years a USB-C charger for drone batteries and at last there is one and let me tell you is AMAZING (I am not sponsored hahaha they do not know I exist LOL), there are also plates for camera batteries, etc. Bests regards from a Venezuelan viewer in Panama!

I hide mine under the solar panel itself to protect it from the sun

That's a good strategy. a lot of times I'm at a campsite with this and can just hide it under a picnic bench or the cooler. as long as it's out of the direct sun you are good!

Great review. Really useful. I have few questions. If you may help answering please. 1. Can it be used while charging? Asking because most of the other power banks I have can't be used while charging. 2. What kind of plug will be needed to use that 12 volt AC port? It will be useful to charge my drone batteries. 3. Is the USBC cable capable supplied with it capable of Power Delivery? 4. Can this be charged with the solar port as well as USB at the same time? Like using Sherpa Yeti Power Supply and PD-45W? Lots of questions, but I am planning to buy couple of these along with solar Goal Zero Nomad 100 as I will be out in wild for many days and need to have power for my camera and drone. Before that amount of investment would like to get some good understanding of what it can do... Thank you again in advance for sharing your view...

Good questions. 1) yep it can be used while charging the battery pack, I do this frequently when traveling to top the pack off while charging my phone. 2) The AC plug is 110 volts. it used a standard US plug. I will cation that some drone power supplies will have a low voltage trigger and not charge from a 110 outlet (mine didn't it's a DJI Mavic Pro) 3) the USB C does have power delivery up to 60 watts 4) I haven't tested Solar - USB C charging. I don't see why it wouldn't work but can't confirm. if you are planning to charge drones from the 120 Volt AC port you may need to get one of the Yeti power banks such as the 200X or 500X. those have the full 120V AC inverters. Hope this helps!

@@gearsNtools Thank you very much. Indeed it is really helpful. I have a Mavic II pro. So that wouldn’t work! Issue is that I need to carry it on flight and the bigger ones are not TSA compliant! So I need to find another way to charge the drone! I thought my search is over! Seems not.

@@AMPhotography yeah thats the same drone I have. the charging brick that came with it doesn't play nice with these smaller battery packs. I'm not aware of any TSA approved battery banks that would fit this need. maybe another viewer can help us out!

@@gearsNtools Just a follow up. I found a college who has the same and tried to charge my Mavic II Pro battery. It does work. I noticed that the EU version has a different plug. Not sure if it also produces 120 volts or not. But it produced around 78 watt to charge the batteries. It could only charge 1.25 empty batteries with one charge. Not very good. But as this can work with input and output; if it is added with a good solar panel that produces 50 to 60 watt; it can charge all the batteries without problems. Next experiment will be to find someone with a good solar panel and proof the concept!

@@AMPhotography Thats awesome! My Mavric is an alder one so they may have updated the new ones. you might be able to test with a normal charger used with the Yeti batteries. they output 60 watts similar to a solar panel. All of my Yeti's can charge and deliver power at the same time. haven't tried with this sherpa though.
