That was actually not a mistake technically, he knows they may quick fire the throw in to try a shot and he is still so far away from the goal, so he took the yellow card to destroy that chance

Watching this kind of videos makes me somehow feel better after I make mistakes. I think "how could I ever let this happen?" But then I see that the same thing happened to Peter Cech, Manuel Neuer, De Gea, Courtois, even Buffon, my personal idol, and you see that if it happens to the best in the world, it can also happen to you. The important thing is not to give up and show why you are the best.

1:16 The Goalkeeper made a mistake because he wanted to make sure the opponent player wasnt injured, that was a fair play attempt by jim. That was totally unfair i think, the other players should have respected this or the referee should have stopped the game to test if he was injured.

Nah, that ones honestly mostly on the defense. The touch from courtois was bad, but the pass was really tight and its not like the keeper had any good angle to pass or clear the ball. The defender should have just cleared it to a corner kick and the other defender should have kept a better mark on the opposition player

Yeah it was Asian U-16 or 17 tournament and the goalie of North Korea did that on purpose to avoid Iran in a knockout stage.

@@adriaticolympia1773 I might be wrong but at the monent this felt like a reasonoble explanation. The french were dominating most of the time, the croatian goalkeeper even got kind of injured (or just acted for a few minutes brake? Maybe). It was 70th minute 4:1 when they scored this. Again, maybe just the french keeper was tired, but my guts felt it was a gesture, and not that big of a risk.

They are not all goalkeeper mistakes some are just risks they have to take sometimes which can go wrong. But the greatest own goal by goalkeeper in history has to be at 4:10, it's so good you can cry and laugh.
