why does the goalie with the tk gloves slide exposing her knees when the ball appears to be moving quite slowly?

Whats with the lack of goalie sticks?

I think/hope that it's about the slide on 0.33 but that was because the ball was ,eventhough it went quite slowly, already behind me but you can't really see that in the video. But to get the ball anyway I needed to figure something out to get the ball and this was the easiest and quickest way to do so but this would not be a sliding I would make when there is an attacker nearby.
