Fr. With due respect to you...Can we be rest assured what goes out will come in the original form? Dis Is dated back in 16th century which has lot of value in the international market and if a replica comes back instead of the original one...Den may God Bless everyone...Fr. Do we have expertise to find out what come in after restoration is the genuine casket ? My Goan brothers and sisters plz correct me if I'm asking a vague question...If not, den plz think about it...🙏 Thanks...

Fr. u have explained well that only d casket will be taken to Italy All d Goans minds r clear. St. Francis Xavier will forever live in our hearts, in our minds & St. Francis Xavier will be our protector.Fr. ur abouseltly right. Only professional will able to do excellent job. That will last for many more years to come.

I live in London but whenever I come to Goa the ghantis are always crowding near the relics ..many of them don't even know whos in there ..my wife n I were shocked cuz the ghantis were taking selfies making faces standing in front of the relics ..some were kissing wearing shorts and banyans ..so shameful ..some ppl even tried climbing the place where the casket is kept ..no priest no security ..my heart cried as a Goan ..

Forgive my ignorance.... Can't the casket be restored where it is now? Can't experts and materials be flown in to do the restoration? Asking out of curiosity.

By God's grace. All work of restoration may done in the same way. Where its orinality remains same. All the concerned authorities should cooperates. And should Not take it lightly. Listen to Rector of the Basilica of Bom Jesus. As He is in charge of the Basilica........cooperate with Him. or The ASI cannot do their Job then Give back Basilica of Bom Jesus to under church of Goa.

Why? N how n when Only casket. Even if someone tries. He will be back with another miracle. He is left only for goa n for all goans hindus Christian alike

tell this priest ..whoever he is ...goa has got the capacity to make a casket for his relics . secondly at the feast they collect lakhs of rupees during the novenas and the masses why cant these priests make a new casket for the relics of st francis in Goa ...where is all the money gone ...shame on the priest who thinks italy can do this work ...whereas their people are suffering from Corona Virus and their economy is also gone down ...Secondly once the casket goes to italy ...these priest will make lame excuses to bring back his casket ...we as Goans should not allow this to happen ...

Nothing was collected specifically for repairs. Asi don't have money nor expertise to do job. Rector n his team is taking responsibility to do this job, my prayers for the team .

@@b.f4294 really ...then where does the collections and the donations goes ?they dont have to collect specifically for repairs ...the money and donation collected is enough for the repairs ..have you heard of peter pence where in the month of june the vatican advertises the funds as towards helping the poor only 10% of the funds goes to the needy and the poor ...why cant the rectors ask the vatican to send some expertise to india to make the new casket for the relics of St Francis and as far as donations are concerned its not given to the priest or the Rectors to enjoy their lives lavishly ...but its for the chruch ...do u get me

@@celinafernandesgracias9658 collection is counted and signed/witnessed by two persons, interested can check futher, the same person should also took active part in work not,just cash . Recently one rbi rescued bank had rs1800 crore fd from another religious community, yearly interest was in croores, and they none comment where abt hisab.

And if you dont agree with what i am saying than hell with you ..what is there to laugh about the casket ...go and see the meaning in the dictt and then come n answer...nobody is allowed to take St Francis body out of Goa ...he is our patron saint ...
