On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, we will accompany the Huser family on their Öberefahrt (Swiss alpine cattle drive) from Starkenbach up to the Alp Stumpen below the Selun mountain. The Selun is one of the seven mountains in the Churfirsten massif in Toggenburg in Switzerland. At 4:45 a.m. the convoy starts at the valley station of the Kistenbahn Selun (925 meters above sea level). The path leads up to the mountain station of the Kistenbahn Selun at 1580 meters above sea level and this is reached at 6:50 a.m. We reach the destination, the Alp Stumpen (1690 meters above sea level) at 7:40 a.m.
