I really enjoyed the video and there were a lot of great ideas. However, for any students thinking about implementing the hanging mechanism they showed, it is in violation of rules RG04 and G24 and would result in a major penalty in a real game match.

I believe it is legal as the hook is still attached to the robot by a string so doesn’t violate the rule that says robots can’t deliberately detach parts.

At 3:25 in describing the arm you said it is driven by a "188:1 motor." Is this the Gobilda yellow jacket 30rpm motor?
