Goblin Slayer is NOT an isekai. It's very dark and the first episode really got a lot of people mad because of how dark it is.

When I first heard the full version…my reaction was “…wow”

I highly recommend checking out the Goblin Slayer: Goblin's Crown (Movie) ending theme "Static" by Mili. It's a different vibe from the openings, although it's still dark/depressing. It also has the same classic Mili touch everyone loves.

This has so much story-heavy context. Mili is a genius.

Goblin Slayer is awesome. It is loosely based on Dungeon and Dragons, but if you start be warned: There is some graphic shit right out the gate. If you can get past that, you'll find a great fantasy show with a great cast, fun story and some excellent music.

Oh yes, Goblin Killer OST is something very strong and atmospheric..... Thanks to Mili for her hard work. And thanks Julian for this reaction, I hope you listen to the OST "Made In Abyss" one day, especially for the full movie, it's awesome.

Isekai is any show where a character is transported from one world to another, and they have to learn to live in that new world. Reverse isekai is any show where a character from another world comes to our world. Goblin Slayer is not an isekai, because nobody is being transported. This is purely a medieval fantasy anime.

This is easily close to one of my favourite songs from this anime season. However, it's beaten by 1 The Frieren Ending: Anytime Anywhere - Milet It isn't as much of an audio/visual experience (more audio). But the visuals are extremely unique. So probably another one that's good to listen to the anime cut, and also the full song However, it relies much more heavily on exceptional vocals, than instrumentals. Not saying Mili has bad vocals, she doesn't. But that music is much more of a merging of vocals with instrumentals. Whilst Milet is just pure vocals, with instrumentals to support and enhance

Iserkai are not all bad, that steriotype has become regular as more and more have been made in recent years. Most of the older isekai are excellent and unique so i'd recomend Re:zero, Konosuba, Mushoku Tensei, or even Overlord. All very good ones

Goblin Slayer is extremely good! It is however very VERY dark, it is arguably one of the darkest anime in its genre (and just a heads up, it's not an Isekai, Isekai means "another world", typically it refers to when someone from "our" world is transported to a fantasy world, but Goblin Slayer isn't that, it's just set in a fantasy world based on Dungeons and Dragons, and everyone is from that world). Goblin Slayer, especially the first episode, does a very VERY good job at making the viewer despise Goblins with a passion that I simply cannot put into words, because there is no word nor any combination of words in existence that can accurately describe how much I hate the Goblins in this show. I highly recommend it.

Well, that's why most people hate on isekai animes. Most of them are pretty bad, generic or forgettable at least... but, there are some very good ones out there. Keep in mind that this is very subjective, but, my favorite isekais (besides Konosuba that is a comedy/parody of isekai) are: -Re-zero, people love to hate the protagonist, but it's a very good example of a belivable character in a fantasy world. This anime is a fantasy isekai anime with some time travel and mistery elements that makes it very enjoyable. Some episodes absolutely crushed my emotions. 9/10 IMO. -Mushoku Tensei has one of the best world building and character development in the genre, with a great and stylish animation that looks classic and beautiful, the battles are very good and some scenes really makes you have the feels. It has some controversial scenes that makes you feel odd ngl, but it's part of the experience. 9/10 again IMO.

Finally, a good show to watch among all the overrated ones rn.

ok number 1 goblin slayer isn't Isekai and 2 Isekai aren't bad. watch "that time i got reincarnated as a slime" and tell me Isekai is bad.

I decided to watch season 2 of goblin slayer case of this song, but tbh, anime is disappointing.

I'd be curious to hear your reaction to BTS. They are a group of 7 from South Korea who are incredibly talented both individually and as a group. They cover a lot of genres, you can't categorize them because they make music from hip hop to ballads, so you're guaranteed to find a style that appeals to anyone. 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, all composers, producers and songwriters. They are known for their deep lyrics and incredible performances. If you feel like giving them a chance, please don't start with their English music, as it was only released during the pandemic to give people a little positive energy. Unfortunately many people judge them by these songs as having a big pop sound, when they are not at all. What I can recommend to start with: Black Swan, Spring Day, Fake Love, Mic Drop, Blood Sweat & Tears, ON (kinetic manifesto film) In any case, please turn on the subtitles because they have very poetic and deep lyrics. And although BTS always say that everyone is free to interpret their music, keep in mind that although many of their songs may at first seem to be about love, they usually always have a deeper message than that.
