VWAP as developing value area of the day is nicely explained. Please inform: A. Rationale for selecting 0.5,1 &1.5 standard deviations? B. How do we know (from Order Flow), when the price moves from balance to imbalance and vice versa, whether the value area (current day's and previous day's) breakout is real or not?

POC(Point of Control) is the area most traded (High volume)/price in the VA(Balance/liquidity), so balance is the VA/POC and imbalance is the low volume traded areas( small liquidity/volume). Auction moves quickly until it reaches a liquidity/ balance zone where 2-sided trades can occur.
