I'm also a gay Christian witch as well. I ask for his light and sight and to send me His strength to help with the energy with my practice. With practicing through him. I never need to adhear to the rules of times, dates, moon phases, circumstances, only right herbs really matter when I do imo. I only practice protection and prayer magic when I do. I've never had anything come back at me for the past 15 years of my practice so I know He is helping me out. Love God and love yourself and ur neighbors. I love y'all.
