can you tell me your build. I'm tired of seeing the typical cannon and want to try something new

Thank you ^^ I'll do a new run once I get my build sorted, don't think I was fighting the Kyuubi correctly at all. I'm not going to advise you to take this build though as I was missing a few skills but I do recommend using Justice Blade, Physical Keeper, Professional or Symbol of Dexterity, B Combo Master, B Upgrade Blood Arts, B Mid-Air Melee ATK, and Burst Duration as your skeleton.

if you don't mine sharing a pic of your build weapon/shield etc. I'm only chapt. 7 using cannon to run through the game buy atm it's not fun anymore :(.

You don't really have to worry about skills early game. Save your +1 Arcs but feel free to use whatever else you have available.

You are definitely not alone >_< I'm trying my best not to burst into rant mode here but I can't for the life of me understand how anyone can enjoy this game without engaging in combat. It's about as satisfying as slaying a cow in Minecraft.

yes the way you play makes me want to keep playing. I was getting bored of attack attack orecle reserve spam cannons. btw. can I do your build with any weapon shield gun? I'm using tower shield :/. cannon. I'm pretty sure buckler is used for quick blocking so I need to wrk on making one

The skills I posted earlier are more or less the essentials with every weapon, bar things like B Combo Master and B Mid-Air Melee ATK which you could live without depending on your weapon choice. Firm Stand and Mutual Burst are mandatory too depending on the format. If you want to use a Buckler you will need Badger though (or find a way to get Reduced Guard Damage and its burst version) so you don't eat damage while blocking. Buckler is indeed the best shield for blocking as long as you are in burst and aren't missing skills for it. It makes skills like Mastery incredibly useful.

I understand you mean any but isn't here any base you start out as a starting weapon shield to work your way from there

Well, most of your gear will be replaced in the endgame. If you want to use a Short Blade, R5 Loup-garou will still be one of your go-to's even after the story is done. As far as Bucklers go, Kurogane Targe will be very good once you upgrade it to rank 13 but Barbed Thistle will be vastly superior once you reach diffculty 15. For the first 12 difficulties I'd use a Tower shield, lol. Generally though you'd ignore base skills on gear since they are replaceable, whereas weapon attributes, damage, defence, or element are set in stone. I'd be more concerned with builds once you are done with the story, it's much faster to go through the story with standard Kurogane gear than it is to stop on the way to grind for gear that you'll end up replacing anyway.

Yup, my head actually hurts watching he is wasting a lot of movements, im more of a buster sword user but i belive short sword is centered in utilizing mobility for maximum damge output
