Loved the effects of the storm and the laughter of Medusa. Really enhanced the experience. Perhaps not the right movie for it. But if you do it in a horror movie recap, it would totally give me goosebumps. Love your work as always. And love how you are trying to improve upon it. Thanks.

Hades was one of the few gods who wasn’t an asshole… modern media likes to do him dirty. Between his brothers and sisters he was the only likable one. Also, hades is sometimes depicted as being more powerful then Zeus. By no means could Zeus have ever compelled, tricked or order hades to do anything he doesn’t want to do. It’s either depicted that he chose the responsibility of the underworld or that drew the short stick. Furthermore hades actually helped Perseus by giving him the cap of invisibility when he went to slay Medusa… and hades didn’t have to. He did it out of the goodness of his heart. If any god in Greek mythology can be called nice it would be hades. Granted, Medusa didn’t do anything deserving what the gods did to her and certainly wasn’t evil… but hey, it’s Greek mythology. Hades even asked Zeus to stop Asclepius from reviving the dead and bringing about the end of the world, but it wasn’t his fault that his younger brother took it as disintegrating Lord Apollo’s son. Lastly, he reunited Orpheus with his wife, Eurydice, and it wasn’t his fault that the guy did the one thing he wasn’t supposed to do! By all accounts, Lord Hades is a god that does his job, keeps his promises and loves his wife. Hades was actually quite generous. In no Greek mythology story is hades the villain… not once.

Man, i was kinda frustrated how they mistakenly made hades be the one who held princess andromeda hostage when lets face it, it was actually poseidon and the fact this movies portray zeus as “the smartest of all God’s” kinda annoys me when lets face it man’s an asshole and sex crazed heck! @@abebuckingham8198 I don’t have to. She loved him. And depending on the interpretation she went to hades willing to escape from her mother. Yes, most commonly she was kidnapped. However in no story is she treated badly or kept as a prisoner. She does fall in love with hades and stays with him willingly.

Says a lot about the family dynamics where, even after being tricked into the "worst" position, Hades still defends his brother's image and honor. Of course, having not seen this version of Clash, I could be misconstruing meaning.

So like, not to be a douche bu in the Myth, Hades is the one who got the best deal out of all the things. First "Heaven" did not exist in those times, Everyone would go to "hell" it would just be divided in sections depending on how you died (unborn childs, soldiers, suicide, etc etc..) some of them were amazing, legit "heaven" with trees and rivers flowing for the most worthy of souls to enjoy for eternity then on top of that, Hades's realm would expand for ever to make more and more room for the next people who die, dude basically got a for ever expanding land that could evolve and create new sections with magical gardens etc. Learned that in Latin class when i was younger. Then again, Hollywood can't read books that were written 50 years ago so i dont expect them to know about any of that.. "Despite modern connotations of death as evil, Hades was actually more altruistically inclined in mythology. Hades was portrayed as passive and never portrayed negatively; his role was often maintaining relative balance." as google would say If you read myths you'll quickly realise that Poseidon and Zeus rly are the 2 who fight more and all the other minor gods too, while Hades is just chilling in his ever-expanding kingdom, striking deals, getting literally the most beautiful woman on earth to become his wife etc, Hades had it goooood man.. i'd be more worried about Athena and her crazy ways of trying to get back at people. Also sorry for my poor english its not my OG language but i'm rly trying

Now THIS... is a good Hades as a villain. Yeah, James Wood is good as Hades, he is funny and a good villain... but why HE is the bad guy in a Heracles story? "Well, he's the god of the Underworld" Yes? "Like Satan" Yes? "So it means he is as evil as Sata-" NOOO YOU DUMB SH*T! He's probably the most honest amongst the Greek Gods. Sure he HATES his role, he envies that his brother got the better end of the deal, but... you really had to go with the "I'm planning to rule the world" villain for him? This is more subtle: he found a nice way to be the stronger God, without getting his hands dirty, and just by talking. THIS is a much better villain ark. Best part? "I'm sorry I made you feel low, brother" "THAT'S ALL I NEED! For you to recognize I should deserve some respect. Thank you."

Bro even Lucifer isn't the bad guy. The underworld/hell caretakers are definitely better than most of the "good" gods. Yes Hades is among the most honest Greek gods but Lucifer is too.

Lucifer did tried to overthroned God, the worst Hades ever did was kidnapping tricking her nephew/wife into staying by him duing autumn and winter, but some versions blame Eros' arrows in this story. BUT... as much as people think of Lucifer as Satan, the "big bad devil"... he's technically still on the good side, since he PUNISHES the evil-doers and the sinner in Hell. Even Dante gives him the role of the big punisher of the biggest sinners, but he's still feared as a dark beast. Still, I was refering to Satan as the "big bad devil"/"ruler of Hell" (the "generic" one), not Lucifer the fallen angel (the Bible one).

@@artu165 brother don’t confuse hades with lucifer, lucifer legit made war because he wanted to take the throne of God while hades didn’t did all that and he was chill and stayed loyal with persephone which yeah his nephew but he loved her not to mention despite having a position he hates atleast he didn’t did any war like zeus wife did and esh lets not forget how lucifer made Job suffer just so that lucifer can proof a point in which he failed.

who remembers 'clash of the titans' from, er... 1981? all i remember was the scorpions. Back in '81 there was no CG so they used robot scorpions and very very small actors. The fighting was quite realistic and i think the scorpions won and became fair and just rulers until the cats took over. I might be remembering it wrong.
