I had my breakthrough in September. I struggled with alcoholism for 20 years. Almost died multiple times, staying weeks in the hospital. I had been feeling different for about a year prior, like I wanted to change so much but I just couldn’t get there. I failed every single time. One night my husband and I were watching a show and I closed my eyes and had a vision of Jesus. I saw him, and I saw myself, but you couldn’t see me. It was my soul, but I knew it was me. A bright light was behind my head. I could only see his profile, because I was looking directly at them: my soul and Jesus standing facing each other. He put out his arms and said “I gave you that struggle so you would return to me.” I will never be the same. It’s like my entire mind has been transformed and all I want to do is study. And mighty is his power, because he also took away the complete desire. I can never be the same.

The battle is heavy!!!! Lord, no matter what I face I will wait on U Lord !!!

This WAS and IS my situation. I am currently in transition between seasons. God provided to help me solve the first step. It gave me a breathing room while waiting for the next step. God moves in the right time for us to realize that without Him we are nothing. I know and I believe in my heart that the next moves of the Lord is way better and bigger and is coming continuously and very soon. Pray for endurance and hold tight on Him. If it is frustrating, pray and tell how you feel, He hears us, then He will give strength and peace in the waiting season. If the time comes, then give thanks to Him! I’ve been waiting since I was 5 years old, I’m now 62. Same for my husband. I’ve said God put 2 very broken people together, but truth is I decided to marry. I have no answers other than God is always in charge. I may be depressed beyond what some can carry on this earth, but I know God holds me in the palm of His hand. Amen. I laughed joyfully with tears because yes sometimes I need to be riminded I am NOT that powerful that I could stop God or slow Him down when He has already spoken words of His love towards me. I have been obedient, learned it through suffering and yes my hard knocks were making me weary in the waiting. He is always on time because He holds time in the palm of His hands. Glory and praise be to our very good Gd almighty, who was and is and is to come.

We literally have given up our earthly securities, and He has molded our characters in those years, to be ready for when the vision will manifest in the physical. This is literally for me, just last night I was praying and crying out to God because I was just told some news that what I was really hoping would get better isn’t, along with the tiredness of putting up with and constantly forgiving people who keep showing time and time again, their immaturity and obliviousness. I have been feeling really burned out because I keep seeing those things you were saying all over youtube and instagram and such and hoping and standing in expectation, yet nothing is changing. I know God hasn’t forgotten me and I know in the back of my mind I’m being selfish and impatient but I can’t escape the feeling of disappointment and burn out from the waiting; as well as I felt so far from God’s presence last night it was demoralizing, I hadn’t done anything wrong but I felt so estranged in the moment which only compounded what I was feeling.

Pastor Eugene Peterson was ministering to a member of his church who was struggling with understanding Galatians. Eugene's knowledge of Greek helped him to bring out the flavor of Galatians so his friend could understand it. Then he did the same with more of the Bible until.Navpress came and asked him to translate more. He was reluctant. He is also a poet. From 1993.to 2000, something Eugene worked hard on translating the entire Bible. He did the New Testament first, then psalms, then the Old Testament. I have a parallel Bible with both Niv and The Message (Eugene's version with God's help), so blessed. Eugene was big into staying local and part of the community in your church and wrote.30 books to help us in our walk with the Lord.
