So far I have been sticking to my goals pretty well, I've definitely been spending a lot more time in the word, soaking up scripture, which is my priority at the moment. My life is so different now, I manage difficulties and stressful situations much better because I always have the Spirit guiding and convicting me. It's just amazing! Totally agree! I have backed out of politics considerably and only listen to pundits who are Christians and portray Christian worldviews when they're giving their political analysis. Secondly, I'm really digging into the meat of the word in some serious lessons through podcasts. I'm a truck driver about to retire and I have a lot of time going down the road to fill myself with politics or Christian teachings. I'm starting to study to show myself approved so when people ask me the hard questions like is God real? How do you know Jesus existed? Why isn't evolution true? I can answer these with the information I'm arming myself with. Very encouraging to see the other comments here too. God bless you all!

Being tied to Jesus and the faith is a large part of my identify and core values. man I really see a lot of people are going through this. There's this co-worker of mine who always cursing but knows the bible like nobody's business. Everytime he curses I try to remind him to take it easy and he tells me it just comes out when he's angry or overly excited and I said yeah I can imagine what you're going through. I have this same problem, except I don't say GD all the other cuss words come out just in regular conversations though and I hate it.
