I want you to try something out of my curiosity. You do know the annoyance of having the slashing effect color from the Blades of Athena combined with the golden skin when in NG+ with the Kratos' God armor. But have you tried starting a NG+ with that God armor costume while having never upgraded the blades in your previous run? Would the slashing effect color combination be the same or will only the yellow slashes be shown?

@@damsen978 the color shown in the slashes is the same as the level of the blades example: god armor with level 4 blades will have level 4 color not red or yellow

@@FN_40 Yeah that's my point. If someone finds the mix of the two colors annoying, they could start a NG+ with level 1 blades while using the God armor so they probably won't show up (Only the yellow slashes as it's supposed to).

@@damsen978⁠There are 2 types of Golden Athena’s Blades. The Golden Athena’s Blades in New Game is a hidden 6th level. You have to use weapon level modifier codes to get them or save edit to get the “true”Golden Blades. The blades are as weak as level 1 but have all the moves of level 5. The Golden Blades on General Kratos and the NG+ God Armor are just a model swap for the regular blades and as said before me, those blades will represent levels 1-5 with the corresponding flame trail but the model itself will always be the Golden Blades. In GoW 1 the 6th level also exists to get the Golden Athena’s blades and in that game they’re as strong as level 5 blades.

I remember my first time getting this area in god of war 2. Game went well for me until this section. I remember it being hard as hell to get through.

i literally just did this less than five minutes ago. its my first time. feels good! to be a no upgrade run+ loom chamber champion. now i just gotta do Zeus and i will have accomplished something i thought was outta my league. was watching this video for inspiration and it worked although i didn't use any orion's harpoon or whatever it is. also im playing on original ps2 with original oldschool CRT TV and its THE best thing ever. its literally all i have played for the past month! the input lag is less than 1 ms with the crt tv and the wired ps2 controller and parries are godlike easy. Reppin 2007! please notice me senpai!!!

This part of the game with no checkpoints is the most ridiculous creation and especially on titan mode this you make you rage. I hated the kratos clone battle on god mode on gow 1 but this is getting to that level of frustration.

This is a gauntlet. A gauntlet is meant to not give you a checkpoint and you're suppose to learn it.

GoW 2 is the hardest in NUR difficulty but the clone fight at the end of the first was impossible for me.

Clone fight is optional. Come to think of it. Even without the translator section, yes, gow2 is the hardest. Also the most fun imo.

@@TheShark94700 Basically, the fight is so hard that you're not required to beat them. The run itself ends at Ares 1 for that reason, and the Clones are referred to as 'Bonus Credit'.

I remember that there was a discussion on TUGOWU about whether GKPAIN+ was harder than PAIN+. Haven't done either run to comment, but from a glance, you should have the same durability (you take double damage, but you're forced to do the run with MAX health, so it evens out on that front), and collisions should make short work of mob fights in general, at least where applicable. In PAIN+, you have better damage output (outside collisions), which can help for fights where you can't use collisions or ring enemies out.

Honestly, I haven’t done a NUR+ on this game because I have never tried to not upgrade anything. I have beaten the hardest mode on this game, but I’m scared of this challenge. Is it optional to do or just for fun? I’m curious about this

@@ExtremeGameplays1 Nah It's just developers bullshitting on players by throwing on random enemies in random order with no deep thought behind it. It's not exactly genius to just putting 2 strong enimes and other type of 2 strong enemies together and then finally seasoning it with basic enimes on a tiny rectangle. Capra Demon is when it's done right and this whole section is when it's done horribly wrong.

I hate this. Every video I see makes it look doable. When I get to the sirens and gorgons. They NEVER NOT EVEN ONCE use their stone stares or blasts. And as soon as I drop my guard they do that BS tail whip.

this is what ragnarok combat feels like. Sloggy and annoying. Except in Ragnarok you're constantly playing a watch your back game, so at least you have a good angle here.
