I completed God of War Ragnarok a few weeks ago. I was so incredibly touched by the tragic story of Sindri and his brother Brok. I wrote it as a final goodbye style song. The road doesn't end unless you choose to forsake it.

This song really captures the heart break Sindri experiences. For someone who has been repeatedly noted to be a clean freak, seeing him after that moment, still not having cleaned his brothers blood off of his hands of armor, really shows how deeply lost and hurt he is. 10/10 😭🔥

Brok truly didn't do anything wrong, Sindri was naive in bringing him back, but a punishment like this is heartbreaking to watch, even if it was practically inevitable. I'll miss them both. Brok lost to us and Sindri a broken shell of his former self. Every time I hear that hammer clanging away at the shop, I feel a brief flicker of hope that I'll see them back there tinkering away, but they never are.

Sombre and significantly emotional, I think this is a beautiful representation of what happened to the Huldra brothers. I'm not usually a fan of the slower songs, but this one was necessary and hits perfectly for Sindri. Anything else wouldn't have had the impact this did.

"When the blood spills upon the snow" I love this nod towards the Blood Upon The Snow song for the game. It really makes it feel like this song is the duality of that one. While the other song is more for Kratos and his journey to accepting others and letting go of his past. This song is Sindri losing the only thing he had and how detached he is slowly becoming from the world itself. His ability already let him do that but now his heart follows through. Kratos and Sindri are going opposite ways. It's quite saddening.

I love that you chose to focus solely on his plight, with the song being very slow, and somber. It truly feels like you're listening to the lullaby of a broken man, just trying to sooth his own heart. Amazing as always Divide, you never fail to perfectly nail what makes a character tick.

Then do what you whatever you can to make sure you don’t think of such things. Don’t give such negative thoughts like that any power otherwise they’ll start gnawing away at your both your happiness and even a bit of your soul. As long as you focus only on as much of thee good stuff in life (especially the ones that you know really make you happy) than everything for both you, your brother, and everyone else you care for will all be perfectly fine.

Sindri is the truest example of completely breaking a person. Once brok dies, there’s nothing left. He’s lost everything and has nobody there for him.

Perfect song for him, slow and melancholy. Sindri really got the short end of the stick, and it showed when his character development went the opposite way as everyone else. Atreus went from an impatient, rebellious teen to a man. Kratos has been slowly healing from his lust for revenge, and then Sindri ends up becoming a grief-stricken mess who cuts everyone out of his life. Fun fact, did you know that in the original mythology, Brok was named Brokkr? They removed a third of his name to subtly nod to how a third of his soul was gone.

Seeing this is already making me cry. The sibling relationship between brok and Sindri makes cry since I am also a sibling. It hurts to think that someday,my sister will witness my funeral or me witnessing her funeral. Thing is,no one is ready for a member of their family dying. And Sindri got the hard part of life. He lost everything as he gave everything to kratos and atreus. Now? He has nothing,even family.
