Can’t ever get through the whole thing without the gate of repressed memories of my loved ones who’ve crossed over flooding my mind, and me flooding my face with tears. Bear McCreary composed that one from a personal place of sorrow.

bear mcCreary and his damn hurdy gurdy. at this point, hes really trynna make it into a regular ensamble instrument. the first of music composers to be a hurdy gurdy man in our age. HELL YEAH!

One of the best scenes in the entire franchise is when Kratos said "as a general" ready yourselves whilst walking through the realm door. The soundtrack around that scene blended sooo well with the scene, I swore I was a watching a hollywood masterpiece adventure movie.

there is a very specific part of A Son's Path that sparks intense PTSD in me because it's directly from the trailer that played like every 4 minutes in the gamestop i worked at up to and even after the game's release

Never heard of god of war until I saw Bear McCreary music (which he does outlander) so now I’m very interested in this game. Is it a series? Should I get a certain game first so I don’t miss important story bits?

Hi! If your main interest is Bear McCreary's music, you can just start with 2018's God of War. It's not the beginning of the saga, but it is still a nice entry point that I think can suit your interest better than just starting with the very first game.

I would absolutely recommend playing from GoW 1 to Ragnarok. This series is pretty longstanding and starting on 2018 can leave you with a lot of questions regarding prior events to the duology so I’d recommend using PS+ to check out GoW 1-3 and then go to 2018.

@@TyrRaven you can play all god of war games apart from ragnarok on ps+ monthly subscription, that would save a ton instead of actually buying hope you have the means to in the future as it’s one of the best game series ever imo

Yep, I agree on that. I mean, both are amaazing soundtracks, but Xenoblade's music is at the very least as good as God of War's... and it has like 6 times the amount of tracks.
