God of War Ragnarok is a long and meaty game, and depending on how much you're engaging with its side content, even the main story can take you well upwards of 30 hours to wrap up.
Even after you're rolled the credits though, there's still a ton of stuff to do. Ragnarok offers up a bevy of content for players to tackle in its post-game, and here, we're going to talk about a few of those activities.

Attend Brok's funeral last. It has alot more impact if you've done everything you need to do then go see him, plus it'll make sense for the credit role.

Something I didn’t see mentioned, if you go back to your original cabin in Midgard there’s a little heirloom from Atreus’s travels sitting on the desk to the right. Nothing crazy, just a nice moment.

I think,in the next game,Atreus should travel back in time and capture Brok's soul in a Jotnar marble and give it to Sindri. I'm talking about when he first "died". My opinion

Just finished 100% and platinum and I can say I'm very happy with the amount of side quests and epilogue content they put in this game. Played for good few hours well after I finished

@@mohamadsobhan4013 They are not wrong in that sense , yes, after you finish the main story , and even before, you can go back to any of the areas to complete side quests and find loot, as long as you've unlocked the area. I just wouldn't call the game 'open world', but i guess that depends on your definition.

Not sure if a lot of of people know this but One of the side quests in God of War Ragnarok is a touching memorial to a game developer who has passed away. R.I.P Jake Snipes I finished all the quests and earned my platinum trophy. At this point, I'm just waiting in the waiting area for a new God of War or Hear Me Out DLC.

I wish the game was longer like every realm was an open world area big as a regular opened world game like the horizon games as an example. I don’t mind a long game because once you beat a game you don’t want it to end, like I felt empty for awhile after beating the Witcher 3 lol

You can meet Tyr again in Vanaheim at Freyr’s camp, later in Helheim were he is communicating with Hel’s guard (giant hawk).

In the last game you got the cutscene because you did the Valkyrie stuff and all the other side content, you earned that cutscene for going above and beyond. Ragnarok didn’t really have that. You do everything left in the game and there’s no sense of gratification outside the achievements

@@Slavic_Snake I’ve been contemplating that a lot. the story mode is a lot easier than than 2018 because it’s a lot more forgiving, however some of those side missions and mini bosses like the berserkers be havin me fightin for my life. I’d put it generally the same more or less, both are a good challenge

Dang it I was hoping to find something I haven’t done yet but I just finished all these. It feels like there isn’t a satisfying ending to this game. Like in gow 2018 it was clear that the Thor cutscene was meant to be the ending ending but here I’m just left wanting. I think kratos should get like a thanos at the end of infinity war scene where he just sits down and relaxes and then the credits roll

Love this game and all if it's characters. But one thing they lacked in this department was how in Asgard there literally was just Odin, Thors family of 3 and Heimdall. And there's what, only two or three other Asgardians that you killed in game 1. That's all the prominent people they had in their land? Majority of others were just robotic Valkyeries and dead respawning soldiers. It was so stupid how Thor was in a Bar with a bunch if generic dead soldiers. With so much personality they put into each character, they really ignored general npcs.

There's nothing to do after gna berserker King and ravens really, and the rewards you get from them are no use since there literally the hardest bosses in the game and there's nothing left to fight after them

Why did we get a skill tree and transformations for atreus then he just gets kicked from the party, pretty sure he was meant to be playable end game but they cut it, final act was completely rushed, spent more time collecting fruit than we did at ragnarok, odin and jormungandr fight was a 5 second speck in the distance, no giants or helwalkers, odin and thor being back to back in the same arena was a bad way to go out, heimdall got reduced to a ps1 gimmick of step on the flashy exploding spear, god of all seeing my ass can't see 1 foot in front of him, whole final act was completely rushed the more I think about it, skol and hati get one scene then reduced to a bowl, the hufflegaffer jellyfish thing was cool but now seems like a complete waste of time and resources when that could have went to the final battle

I legit just finished the game today, now that I read this honestly you're right, first half feels so packed and slow but in a good way with story telling then the 2nd half feels like its fairly quick and jam packed to the end, strange pacing

I made a point to complete favors as I encountered them before carrying on with the main story. Once the characters said “are you sure you want to go to Asgard now? This may be the last chance to handle business in the realms” I went and maxed out my health and rage with nornir chests and got most legendary chests. Then I took on the berserkers. Amazing boss fights. I want more! Maybe I’ll just replay the game in a year or so.

Vanaheim is the best place to be to hit level 8 asap with pretty much the strongest armor set in the game. The original armor levels up the most with the most amount of points for all your stats so it’s the best all round. Best thing is to fight all the stone bosses to get that high defense armor and combo it with defense stun damage for GNA lol she’s a lot to handle on the highest difficulty. 😭

Damn this is the first game in a long while where the solo campaign really stood out. God of War creators actually invested the time to make a quality game compared to all these new assassins creeds and call of duty that rush making new games and they always come out crappy. I haven’t felt sad that I’ve beaten a game so fast since the like of assassins creed 2 and halo 3 so well done and I hope they continue making great content down the road. PLEASE DO NOT RUSH THE NEXT GAME lol

@@dot2157 i went with the Muspelheim piece that increases the speed with which you build up the perma frost, and with the enchantment that grants you a secons of realm shift when activating permafrost. Other than that you truly need to get good

Wish I'd saved the crater for after the story. My damn completionist mind was 94% done by the end. This game didn't have much left the remnants of Asgard is a good idea if it would've had some bosses. This game was lacking big bosses in comparison to all the others, the valkyeries were unique and fun. That was missing here. Wish the NG+ had been released simultaneously. Still GOW are the best games, it's pretty cool running around like super heroes with Frigg though not much to do.

I am unable to obtain "the librarian" trophy despite having collected all the books (I checked!). This is because the book next to the arch (one through which something very massive is said to have passed) in vanaheim, despite having been collected, is categorised as "unknown" on my list of favours, permanently locking me out of the trophy. I have since returned to that location many a time to verify the book's presence (and lack thereof) and found that the book does not reappear.

@@edwards3324 Thank you for your reply, sir. However, there is no crawlspace in that area. To be more specific, I was mentioning the location of the Kvasir's poem: "The trip", in vanaheim. I remember picking it up but it does not register as such on my list of poems and the book is no longer avaible at its original location.

@@RaytheusHe means in Alfheim. In the area where you fight The Maven, there will be a stone arch imbedded in the stone wall beneath the staircase that leads to the library. There will be a VERY HIDDEN pile of boulders that you have to attack, which will break away into a crawl space which leads to a cavern. I don’t remember if there is a Kvasir poem there, but it has a Nornir chest anyway.

I preferred Atreus than Freya, is a disappointment you can't use him after the end game. At least they should have make you switch between him and Kratos, Atreus companion could it have been Angrboda or Atreus could it have go on his quest after helping Kratos check on Midgard and their friends.

i completed 100% of all the realms…i have nothing to do…all i do now is go back to my old saved games to fight gná again 😂

Best thing to do after beating it is replaying GOW 2018 and it becomes a bad ass prequel lol

Tyr didn't show up for me in helhiem. It's just a short dialogue and has no bearing on 100% completion, but it irks me soooo much!

I think it's stupid af to lock content that awards you endgame gear behind a story barrier. What's the point of unlocking the gear from Gna & Berserkers if you can't use it on main story bosses? When I finished the story I was level 8 with only Gna and 2 berserkers left to fight (locked behind the story progress) but I could only use the berserker gear on Gna herself. And her gear on.... Nobody. It makes absolutely no sense. Endgame gear is designed to make your character op and reward you with less difficult endgame fights, since you had to grind through all those sidequests in order to not have to grind as much through the story ones. That's the way it's designed and that's the way a game should be played. I busted my ass killing the berserkers only to find the last 2 locked behind the story wall and also Gna. At least if the devs are gonna only let us fight the hardest bosses in the game post-story, we should already be allowed to have the best gear. For instance, in 2018's God of War that's what I did, ended up having not such a hard fight with Baldur because I had maxed-out Valkyrie gear and 100% everything except the story. It felt rewarding and motivating to grind all the side gear and quests to cap it off with the final story battle. On the other hand, GoW Ragnarok's final story bosses, Odin and Thor, should have been a more difficult fight and supposed to be killed after Gna & berserkers so you could use the endgame gear on them. Felt stupid, frustrating and unjust to have to grind a couple sidequests (flowers, for instance) along with those 2 bosses after beating what are supposed to be the hardest bosses in the game. Stupid mission design as you gain nothing when achieving max rank and gear because you've already beaten every hard boss.

Thr gods in here sure didn't live up to the old gow games. Posidon and Ares plus the titans. Too bad the God fights here were a let down. Hopefully they do Egypt next and go back to epic God fights.
