The national anthem of Great Britain, "God Save the Queen", was played during two of the coverages of the death of Princess Diana from the day she died and on the eve of her funeral.
First, a somber slow version of the anthem was played by ITN as a continuity for one of the hourly news on the day of her death itself. Last but not the least, a fast and stately version was played during a special BBC One closedown which flashed an obituary clip of the princess on the eve of the funeral. The said version is generally used for BBC One's closedown transmissions until 1997.
There used to be an upload of the said special BBC One closedown on the day of her death which features the said clip but with a slow rendition of the anthem similar to the one used on the official death announcement that day.
