2:36 Not that anyone needs to hear this but this scene really impacted me the most for some reason. My uncle was sentenced to 20 years before my birth and was released in like 2012, and he told me how morally crushing it was for him to kill a man, exactly like this scene. He was drunk, got into a REALLY heated fight with one of his coworkers and just felt pure rage seething. He grabbed a piece of metal lying on the ground and hit the man’s cranium. You react purely out of emotions, but once you land the blow there’s no coming back. You see the helpless man about to die, trying to gather himself back together, and you know he’s about to die but you panic just watching him stumble around. The hatred or fear you had for this man just instantly turns into regret or somewhat sympathy, as you realise what you had just done and it is painful to realise what kind of act you just committed. My uncle told me he instantly rushed to the man’s aid, cradling the man’s bleeding head as he cried over his actions, contemplating the horrific act of taking a human life.
