The "sunday service" as we see it today wasn't even in the early church. Honestly guys, it's not even biblical. The gathering of the disciples in John 20:19 was stated clearly for "fear of the Jews". The breaking of bread was done everyday (Acts 2:46) and not restricted to sunday. The church never saw sunday as a special holy day. However, throughout Acts you'll see special meetings to preach the word and special prayers being held on the sabbath (Acts 13vs14,27,42,44). It wasn't a "Jewish religion thing". The ten commandments of God are for all creation and Jesus called them life everlasting John 12:50. Besides, even the gentiles gathered on the sabbath- Acts 13:42-44. It was the lifestyle of Paul and the early church to hold prayers and preachings on the sabbath (Acts 16:13, Acts 17:2, Acts 18:4). They did this because they are "Christians" (meaning "followers of Jesus", "like Christ"). And it was Jesus' lifestyle to be in the church gathering every sabbath- Luke 4:16,31. Jesus obeyed God's ten Commandments including the 4th: "remember the sabbath day to keep it holy" and the Apostles, by the Spirit of God, obeyed as Jesus obeyed. Jesus even called Himself the Lord of the Sabbath. Though popular, the idea of sunday as the holy day of worship is not Scriptural at all. It is not from God's word. "Anything that's not light is darkness". It all started in Rome as the doctrine of men and sun-god idol worshippers and was used to replace God's Saturday Sabbath worship that Jesus and the early church observed. I'm sure many people know this but just overlook it. If we overlook this, then we are just like the Pharisees, living by "religious traditions of men and idols" and not living by the Holy Spirit (who is the Spirit of Truth John 16:13). Just read the Scriptures attached and see for yourself. I know you'll want to say "it's popular", "great churches and pastors are doing it"...but my dear bro/sis, man isn't God. Every one still needs to be chastised and corrected by God. That's why I posted the quotations from the Bible and didn't say what I felt from my head. Let's go back to scripture, to the word of God, to the Commandments of God, to life everlasting - John 12:50. I encourage us all to check the word of God, pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal truth to us like a light and the grace of God will guide us into all truth. Let's align with God's Word, and show those who believe the same. Ill never share this to condemn anyone. I just shared it so we'll look into the word of God again. This can be God's way of showing some of us this important truth. I pray few will see this, go search the word of God and obey God. Let the love of God be with us this week guys ✨🙌🙏

So if anyone decide to worship God on Sunday, I don't think God will be angry, The days of the week does not belong to anyone but God! Days of the week should not create limitations...that is why brother Paul said in the scripture I gave above.. Romans 14:5 whether you choose one day or you believe all day, it unto the LordRomans 14:6 Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.Romans 14:7 None of us lives to himself [but to the Lord], and none of us dies to himself [but to the Lord, for]Romans 14:8 If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. So whether the Romans worship their pagan gods on a particular day has nothing to do with us. God is more concerned about we doing Justice, Mercy this is what he called the weightier matters. St. Matthew 23:23 "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices -mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law -justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former..

@@johnjustice4420 Noted brother, apparently my name sake 😊. Like you said, the days of the week belong to God. So do the heavens, earth, even our bodies...everything belongs to God. Since this is true, shouldn't we obey what the owner says above the days of the week? Just as we should obey him about our bodies? "It doesn't matter" is basically what satan told man and led to their death. It is truth that the specific sunday worship started from idol worship. Many will quote Apostle Paul saying "idol is nothing" as an excuse. But JESUS himself told his church that He was wrath with them because they were "eating things sacrificed to idols"- Rev 2:20. And don't just think about literal food. What Adam and Eve did was more than just eating a fruit- they accepted satan's lies above the word of God, they accepted that what God says doesn't matter... "you will not surely die". So irrespective of feelings, from God's word, I see that God would be angry if the church disobeyed his commandments. Just as he was angry with the church in Rev.2:20, he'll be angry with the church today and calling them to repent. As you quoted, Jesus in Matthew 23:23 told them to keep the weightier matters of the law "WITHOUT LEAVING THE OTHERS UNDONE". James made it clear that 1 "small" disobedience makes one guilty of all- James 2:10. So with the weightier matter of judgement, judge righteously. Check out Matthew 5:19. In Matthew 15:3-9, Jesus' main problem with the Pharisees was that they were hypocrites who use traditions of the elders to replace God's law. This, they had a fake form of godliness. Jesus exposed them using the 5th commandment. Can't you see that it's the same with the 4th commandment and even other commandments of God today? The reason why many follow the Sunday doctrine is because: they were brought up in it, it's what many are doing, "big men of God" are doing, they "feel God is okay with it" etc. The reason is NEVER "that is what God said", yet God spoke clearly about it. And Jesus says "ye do err" because we haven't been diligent to "know the scriptures nor the power of God"- Matthew 22:29 Even though it was just Christians that decided to make sunday holy, does it make it right? No bishop, apostle or church can be greater than Jesus, and certainly their words cannot hold more weight than the word that proceeds out of God's mouth. "Let God be true and all men liars", amen?. The Scriptures show us that even men of God can lie or sin, not to berate them but we are reminded that we should look only to Jesus. Like the Beriah Christians, we should cross check our doctrines and any preacher's words with the Words from the mouth of God. God's way must be higher than our ways even when "there's a way that seems right to a man". I'll end with this 🤗. God's Word, like God (for it is God) can never change. What God said before creation is still driving all of existence till tomorrow without losing any efficacy over time. God's commands have never changed:to love God, to not commit adultery, to honour parents, to keep the sabbath etc. They've never changed. It's up to us to obey them and be blessed...or disobey and attract curses like mankind did and most are doing. Deut. 30:15-20 I'm glad that you explained Matthew 23:23, showing that faith is in the law, so anyone that says "faith and law don't go together" is just looking for excuse to sin...and will not find it. You can't obey God if you don't believe. And if you disobey him, it's because you don't know him, talkless of believe him. 1 John 2:3-4 Blessings brother 🙌

The doctrine of Sabbath is legalism without grace. But Jesus said the sabbath was made for man and not man for the sabbath. Christ brought to us something that is above the legalism of Sabbath. He brought about the fulfilment of the law by faith, grace, truth and love.

The real biblical Sabbath day according to the Bible is 6pm Friday to 6 pm Saturday. We as children of the most high GOD, we are supposed to worship our MAKER within the hours not Sundays. When I discovered this many years ago about 3-4 years ago, I felt disappointed..... It is time we repair the mistakes we have made..... It is time to stop this follow follow blind Christians. Where is Christmas written in the Bible? Christmas is paganism but we just follow without questioning
