I have been so wounded, thinking that people loved me, and were for me, and finding out that they really weren’t. I’ve dealt with this thing my whole life. I grew up in a household where I was up abused mentally and emotionally and as a result I didn’t know how to have friends. In my 20s and 30s started having friends, or so I thought and then coming to realize that they weren’t really for me at all. They were just a bunch of back stabbers. I just turned 60 and I found myself praying that I will not become a hard hearted person.I chose to forgive all of those people, because I never want to be on the bad side of Jesus and because I know that I’ve done things that weren’t good either. But I’ve never intentionally hurt anybody, that I know of. I just really want true Godly friends and people who really, genuinely care about me and love me and it’s not about what I do for them.

Oh my goodness confirmation!! Yesterday I was watching Snow White and the huntsman and well I’ve never paid attention to Disney princess background story and stuff, so I was surprised about how her purity and her heart was very valuable which is why the witch wanted her heart cuz it would make her young and powerful and it reminded me of how the enemy does the same by attacking us cuz we are pure because of God and separating ourselves of things of the world that doesn’t glorify God and then later at night my mom literally prayed for God to renew my heart

You hit the nail on the head with the cartoons. I grew up watching them and they were my life and my world. It's my hope I could add to the pantheon eventually, but I'm the geek who was always never accepted by the other kids and even as an adult by communities. I never was the cool kid, always the awkward one and the one everyone pointed and laughed at. Cartoons were my world where I could escape and it was always a pure and happy one. I'm still trying to go back to that or bring it out.
