I like the Mafia triology a lot but choosing an anglo girl for his wife is a no-no. She doesn't belong in the Italian extended family. Diane Keaton was the wrong choice. She talks too much , and hardly charming. She's a boring anglo unfit for this movie. Duvall doesn't belong in the movie too. Pacino is also too Americanized. And his stare is deadly. Not funny.
@ResistanceQuest
@ResistanceQuest 2 жыл бұрын
Kay Adams is a WASP in the book, so FFC got one to play her. Additionally, Robert Duvall's character, Tom, is a German-Irish orphan who Vito adopts into the family. So, Duvall is there. And Michael was, indeed, very much Americanized because he went to college in America. So an "Americanized" actor to play him makes perfect sense, if you think about it. So really, they all "belong" in the film. Maybe you're just not seeing them from the right perspective. Or maybe you *don't* really like the trilogy all that much. Which would be fine
@ariesgirl54ify
@ariesgirl54ify 2 жыл бұрын
The contrasts in both Keaton and Duvall were very much what made the movie work...Nothing in LIFE is "pat"...I agree with you 100% about the STARE though! Utterly CHILLING, to this day and forever!
