The casting director didn't do a good job, if that person did they wouldn't have allowed certain people to play these parts. In other words they would've hired REAL WOMEN to play these roles.... "NOT MEN"!! The one playing "Johnson's wife" (MAYME JOHNSON) is a man, the little romance with the fictional characters (STELLA) so called daughter is a man. The child playing as the daughter (MARGARET JOHNSON) is a little boy and the older (ELISE) one too! Hollywood constantly throwing their agenda in our faces with manipulation. Come on now, the one playing as "Gigante" daughter (STELLA) you can see that's a man clear as day. If you're going to do something do it right not with this sick agenda attached to it.

Aside from the obvious greats like Whitaker, Palminteri and Sorvino; Vincent D Onofrio is an excellent actor. He doesn't get enough credit.

Pretty cool vid… I’m always checking the wiki’s and imdb’s on the actors and actresses of my favorite shows and films with Black leads. The stories show black love being depicted. But wildly enough how many of them are either biracial/bipoc or are in interracial relationships.

This show came the closest to what really happened up in Harlem, the documentation was on the money. The only thing that was fiction was bumpy fighting with gigante over drug wars, not true.

I started watching this show and now I have made a commitment to finish. But don’t get it wrong, I continue to watch not because it’s that good, it’s because I need to see it through. It’s not horrible and for sure it’s not good! It’s takes time away from a boring day, it’s the best way to explain it. It’s 99.5% of the plot is of course not true. Bumpy stopped the bombing of a untied Nations meeting! LoL!! The acting is subpar at best. I like Forest, but this is by far has to be his worst! He was way too old to cast, he can barely move or have control of the spit drooling from his mouth when he talks…. Even the Sopranos which was loosely based on a true mafia family was a bit more accurate and better acting!

Let's go in parts: Ernie Nunzi, in the show, is a Genovese soldier that, in spite of working for the bad guy, done a favor to Bumpy on finding those kids and burning the KKK to the ground. In real life, Gregory "The Grim Reaper" Scarpa was a Colombo hitman that, amidst ratting his family to the feds, also helped arrest member of the KKK, tortured some of them and found graves in behalf of the government. See the difference?
