It took a long period of time and still black folks are still not 100% liberated in america. I agreed with much of what he stated, but he's completely wrong when he brought up latinos. No one powerful fights for us or defends us. We are the most undervalued people in this country. We are the only people on this continent whose ancestry were both the victims of near-genocide and slavery, massively sex slavery. We are the victims of mass rape. Yet we are the most ignored and the least represented in mainstream media and culture. And I'm not saying that Godfrey has to be our champion, but at least don't mischaracterize us and act like we get defended in US society. Not at all. Unless we're gay or transgender.
