Godfrey is so freakin underrated. He’s one of the best. Hands down. Netflix is trippin’ not havin given him a show yet. Maybe because he’s unafraid to keep it real about what effects us as Black people. He supports Black women when it’s absent among Black men in the industry. Love me some Godfrey. ❤️

Ever heard of the Nebraska Huskers football? They're not as dominant as they used to be but they've heavily recruited black players since the 60's.

@In it To win it Nebraska was never a slave state & actually an anti- slavery state like Kansas, which had a union army. Missouri was a Confederate state, so I suspect it was all about migrating to states that didn't support slavery or didn't have the same level of racist residue after 1865. I'm from the Midwest & know several blacks from Nebraska. Also, many college athletes have their parents migrate to that college town or even live and raise families there. It's not that uncommon.

@In it To win it I thought the topic at hand was not believing black folk lived in Nebraska. Migration popped in my head after my initial response. My dad was from Louisiana & his family migrated to Oklahoma in the 20's, & he's lived in Nebraska, Kansas & Missouri. Older black generations came north to escape Jim Crow & for work. Saying no black folk are in Nebraska is like saying none are in Canada. That's where many slaves escaped to and stayed.

@In it To win it Omaha Nebraska has a huge black population. I live in Missouri and have several friends I went to college with from there. It's only a mystery to folk outside the Midwest.
