In this video, Danielle and Rochelle are hosting a wig trimming event in their Woodland Hills, CA showroom. Danielle will show how she trims the length and bangs on a medium length, machine teased wig called Katie Wig. She will also use the Hot Air Brush to round out the back of the wig, as well as the bangs. These same techniques can be used on any high quality synthetic wig!

This is such a friendly video. It's like visiting the store and having the salon experience. I think next time I'm in Cali I might just stop by.. This lady certainly knows what she likes and it's wonderful to see it become a reality. By the way, I'm also loving Ro's and Danielle's Bardoux-esque hairstyles. So pretty. "Keep away from the oven." OMG yes! I know I made that mistake, and I bet a lot of other people here did too. Please, anyone who fried a favorite wig in the kitchen would you let me know? If we commiserate together maybe we can forgive our momentary lapses.

This was so helpful to see how you trim in real time. I used your previous videos to walk me thru trimming bangs on my first wig Madison. I wish today we could have watched the whole process or cutting/trimming on a few styles. Curious to know why customer wanted Katie shortened instead of purchasing a shorter full wig style. Cut so far looks great on her. Please do another video on making wigs into top pieces for several mid length styles and showing them on someone. Love the idea as you have amazing wig styles. Have you considered making London in Coffee Latte or Marble Brown and can a bang be trimmed into it. Have a great day.

This is great to show how to cut the length. The thing I can't see clearly is before you cut up at the ends you sometimes do a thingy with your scissors that looks like your are teasing the hair at the end length of the hair before you cut up at the ends. I have seen that a lot when you and Ro cut the wigs length or do some piecey (sp) type cutting.

YES! If you love one of our wigs around the face and height, but it seems longer than you want (bangs too), simply have the length trimmed! xo Ro

Hi Lab, you can either trim it or brush it in different directions and take your time finding what works for you. Katie is a great wig - it can also help to wear makeup and put a cute top on while you're playing - then style it and take a photo on your phone for you to look at. xoxo Ro

@@GodivasSecretWigs Ro that is the only wig that I have played with over and over and still can’t get it to lay like that lady had hers. I end up making it look too wiggy lol and it is in one of my favorite colors , almond spice . I did trim the back and sides like Danielle did to that one. I won’t stop playing with Katie though. I’m bound and determined to get it the way I want it. My bday is this month and I need to figure out what other wig I want to get

Great job. How does changing the length and layers affect how the wig behaves when it is washed? Will it try to go back to it's original way, or will it adopt the new cut? Very helpful video!

A haircut will not change how the wig behaves or change the style. It will just be shorter/thinner, etc. After washing/conditioning, especially with our GSW products, the remaining 'hair' on the wig will dry back into the original style- minus the hair that was cut off. So, this Katie wig that Dani trimmed will dry (when washed) just as you see the finished product!!!!! This is the magic of our wigs. This is why I call our cuts a "visual" cut, it will stay as we are seeing it when we trim it! Thanks for asking! Ro
