Variant 2 is very dangerous, as the phase is also applied to the ring contact.

Why would you do this?Just switch the left switch on and make all the lamps parallel to the first.When you are down switch all off!Other way around you switch on and the whole stair is light up again.

e muito importante saber q na rua são três fases. as mesmas dentro da casa. se ligar um dos três q seja o terra com um deles é 110.mai se eu ligar ao outro é 220. se ligar 220 ao 110 apenas a lâmpada fica fraca. mais se ligar lâmpadas 110 na 220 ela explode questão de minutos e pode ser na cara de quem liga por estar próximo. q serve para testes apenas. mostra q o importante é ligar como na rede dentro da casa. de onde vai sair as fiação. alguém pode se danar ou fazer fogo sobre curto circuito e ate um incêndio ok

Stairs I have only 3 wires but 2 blubs. 1 upside , 1 down side. For your method we need 4 wires. 2 wires will use in button and 2 use in between blubs. Total 4 wires but I have only 3. What to do ?

This set up may only be useful is one has a mile long cave. Want to go from the entrance to the back and turn on one light i every 1200 feet section as he walks down the tunnel. Then coming back reversing the lights progression. It has no practical use.

You can convert the one bulb in the example as a series of bulbs. That way you can think of other uses. And lastly 1 bulb can mean a branch in electrical terms.

Just use motion sensor switches, will do the tricks. Lesser complication, easier to install, more effective and cheaper.
