If you guys just need the most power from speedlight and does not mind manual only. Check out yongnuo yn660. It roughly about 1/3 more brighter than other top of line speedlight. For example this godox tt685 has guide number of 197. The yongnuo 660 has guide number of 217. If you need even more power you really need to go to godox ad200 type of flash.

@majorhagar
@majorhagar 4 жыл бұрын
@@adrianhartanto8247 Most of the time manual settings of lowest iso (say iso 100) fastest flash sync shutter (say 180 for Canon FF) and a relatively small aperture ( f4 and higher) will eliminate the ambient light of a moderately lit room. You just can test it out turning off the flash and taking a picture. If you don't get black shots then you can experiment with aperture till you get the desired level of dark exposure.

Great great video. One thing though, reflector dish is pretty much useless on a fresnel head / speedlight, in my experience. The grid in itself still works fine though. Quick question, really curious about this - you use grids a lot even in small scenes, for which reason? It seems it still lights up the whole scene considering it's not a huge scene.
@skylerburtphotos
@skylerburtphotos 5 жыл бұрын
I personally prefer the richness in the shadow areas over a softbox (it's really picky, but it looks more natural to me). The reflector is more just to hold the grid (and block the light from reflecting off of walls/ceilings). I'm not really using the grid like you would for portraits or something like that, which is why it's in combination with a diffusor. Basically, with the grid/diffusor combo, it's also my attempt to fight flat light no matter the room conditions (i.e. small room with white walls). It is also what most closely resembles how I would work with natural light. A small light source "far away" (the sun) shining through a diffused window.
