Been telling folks that for years, eliminate any of the two you have no rythme, eliminate anything other than bass or drum you could chime in with an infints rattle or a bike horn and song still flows. Back in the day when I learn to play the drums I figured all this out that was about 22 years ago

Grew up watching shannon play my area for years when he was with wrathchild. Kix are from my city and shannon lives 15 minutes from me, e was my favorite then and now

When i was 47, now 48, he’s the reason why i walked into Sam Ash, and purchased drum sticks. i drum to the beat a lot. Lessons are soon to follow. Shannon fucking kills it!!!!

Really enjoyed this. I love seeing the song slightly deconstructed so you can see how the bass player and the drummer are so in-sync with each other.

He had a birth defect that messed up the fingers on his left hand. So he learned to play left handed and using finger picks. I admire his overcoming a handicap and using it to his advantage. He's one of my favorite bass players ever!

SWR 750 (The X version I think?) head going into an SWR 12 Staack in this video. Now since they out of business, he uses a Gallien Krueger Fusion 550s running into a 412 NEO.

Big part of the sound is also his Spector Euro. You need a neck-thru Spector with an EMG PJ and HAZ 9v preamp for that sound.

I haven't seen an incredible bass drum connection like that since Getty Lee and Neil Peart. It's as if Getty and Neil had prodigious children who grew up to be way better than them and we're wise enough not to sing.
