I grew up watching this series as a child and remember it fondly. Watching this has reignited my fascination with the series, but I have to say I apparently had forgot how obnoxious both Godzuki and Godzilla sounded lol.

I loved this show. And yes, Godzilla literally sounded like a grown man straining on the throne.

I used to watch this show on reruns in the late 90's early 00's on Cartoon Network, now that watch it again as an adult, I wonder if they put any sort of affect on Ted Casedy's voice when he did his roars? Some sort of filter, reverberation, slow it down etc.

I remember seeing this on Boomerang back in 2000 and thinking 'my childhood was back' and then in 2001 it was gone replaced by Scooby Doo, Tom & Jerry and new toons at the time. Why call it Boomerangbifvitvdiesn't bring back the old classics. Thank god for the Internet as this shows are preserved FOREVER.

Same here. Well, now & then for me anyway. But still, such good times. Especially when watching some reruns of one of our favorite classic Hanna-Barbera shows. However, I have some Hanna-Barbera shows on Complete series DVD Sets in my collection. For the moment I have Jonny Quest, Space Ghost & Dino Boy, Moby Dick & Mighty Mightor, Valley of the Dinosaurs, Shirt Tales, Snorks & Dink the little Dinosaur. Plus, The Powerpuff Girls, Since some of those episodes “Most likely the 1st 5 Seasons” have been done by the Hanna-Barbera productions. I think the Hanna-Barbera Godzilla has yet to be released on a complete series slash DVD Set with all 26 ground breaking episodes, Completely restored & remastered. Like one of the other Hanna-Barbera shows before & after Godzilla. Somehow, the Hanna-Barbera Godzilla must get released on a complete series DVD Set & in the Hanna-Barbera Collection.

@@whoisyouranime yeah but Godzilla absolutely refuses to actually get involved until the humans beg him to do so by pressing the button or getting Godzooky to call. Therefore admitting they are weak puny things...

The thing that drives me a bit crazy re-watching these is the constantly changing proportions of Godzilla and Godzooky, sometimes they are huge other times they are only a little bigger than the humans. #🦎

The title theme needs to be updated... "Up from the depths, sometimes apparently walking on water in the deep ocean!... Somewhere between 3 and 30 stories high depending on the camera angle and what he is interacting with!... breathing fire or sometimes with laser eyes! Head in the sky, or at just below roof level, or somewhere in-between! Godzilla!"

I actually have this on DVD because my mom, aunt, and uncle love Godzilla so when I became a fan, my aunt scouted the inerwebs and discovered these on DVD... I'm only 26, I'm a 1996 baby but *GOD* I forgot how corny the lines from old cartoons were... The inconsistencies in the sizes and colors, the corny lines... *PERFECTION*

This world had some crazy shit, aliens, mythical creatures, time travel, ancient civilizations that had clearly seen some shit, crazy people that could build a giant cyber whale, freakish weather like that episode where some clouds or something made things giant. Have never understood the complaints about Godzilla's roar. Yes it's not his iconic one but from what I heard they basically got just the name and were allowed to make a design that somewhat resembles the original. No official music, roar or enemies. I don't know it just never bothered me, though the lame joke that it sounds like someone's drunk uncle has appeared on way too many videos for this show. I think someone mentioned that it was basically someone they hired and was told to just do a monster voice, given the production values of the show, I can see them leaving things in of less than amazing qualitiy but hey, it was just a kid's show after all.
