@cxrpsie yes, seriously. He wouldn't have powered up if he knew he didn't need it. And yes, the movie did show that it worked! He was able to raise his body temp in mid-air in order to break through the frozen ice shimo hit him with. And, unlike Kong, he suffered no frost bite and was able to continue without suffering anything hindering his mobility.

True, overall though the movie was so underwhelming. Never felt like there was a real threat, now compare that to KOTM or GvK

There is evidence. In the movie they star that a “Godzilla who ate a star” sealed up the scar king. This is obviously referencing Space Godzilla, one of godzillas strongest enemies alongside Ghidorah and Destroyah. Godzilla will probably need this power if he is to face off against Space Godzilla and, eventually, face Destroyah (who has been teased since KOTM due to the usage of the oxygen destroyer which created Destroyah in his movie)

Also why would Godzilla wanna power up if he beat them before solo with no power ups even if they got stronger (which they did) Godzilla ain’t gonna realise that but if there is a new foe he gonna power up

They will need to retcon some things if they want to include shimo in ancient battle. Shimo was never mentioned in kotm director or in murals. Director himself has stated Godzilla to best ghidorah and put him in ice. No mention of shimo in the past. Shimo is pretty much a new titan. So how could a newly created titan just suddenly pop in the established world?

Godzilla was running both her and Scar in the solo match up. She isn't a creature who naturally fights on her hind legs so no it wouldn't have been over because Godzilla absolutely primarily fights on his hind legs.

Shimo is not offensive type if we watch her carefully. The body language and how she refused all the time to fight . Physically yaa, shes bigger . But godzilla def more agile and quick. Ice wont do anything much to godzilla as he can melt it quickly with his body radiation . In this movie, we see both are not fighting at full power and intensity . More to Kong fight and story

I don't think shimo could have killed Godzilla. Both shimo and Godzilla seemed pretty unfazed by any of the battles, Godzilla wasn't trying to hurt shimo and shimo wasn't trying to hurt Godzilla. If Godzilla really wanted to hurt shimo he could have. Godzilla blasted/melted a hole into the earth's core the hole created was far bigger than Kong and that was prior to his new form. Godzilla keeps the balance and Shimo wasn't a threat to the balance, after scar king stepped up to Godzilla he hounded him with his atomic breath because he knew that he was the threat. That's also why he immediately undid shimos weather alternating breath with ease and after seeing that shimo looked both happy and impressed. Shimo probably wasn't putting in 100% effort however Shimo did heavily use it's frostbite breath against Kong and Godzilla. I don't think shimo is weak but I do think Godzilla is stronger. It's shown in the iwis story that scar king already has Shimo in his possession when he was trapped. After all is said and done I think Godzilla would beat Shimo with mid to high difficulty. (Atomic breath > Frostbite breath, Godzilla is more experienced, smarter with the information we have Shimo seems more like a dog than anything else, Godzilla has better battle IQ, speed was similar, Godzilla has better agility.)

@@shahcamranahmed9056 I watched the movie and I'm using the context clues from the battle that we got. It wasn't long and didn't feature a lot of Godzilla and shimos battle. So most of my information is gathered from gxk. For instance Shimo was able to be pinned or caged by a small lava flow and lava doesn't tend to melt the earth away, however Godzillas atomic breath slices through buildings and tunnels through the earth with ease. Honestly it's just like a pokemon game in the fact that Godzilla is just typed well against Shimo. Shimo is POWERFUL shimo wasn't immediately overpowered by Godzilla which means Shimo is stronger than titanus tiamat, I Tiamat is a very strong titan. The only thing we can say about shimo is that shimo is at least the third strongest titan in the series maybe even equal to Godzilla right now.

If he can't be shimo so how is he going to beat space Godzilla
