I’m kinda hoping that MIB includes these molds as characters in MIB the show. Like, have them be a mad scientist’s failed attempt at kaiju clones, or have it be someone’s mental image of the kaiju in an episode where they end up in someone’s mind, the kaiju being horribly deformed and inferior while the person whose mind they’re in view themselves as perfect and superior.

Ive seen stuff like this even now in stores Its a "do your own Frozen's Elza" set, wich literally only has 4 tiny paint colors, and the box looks painted perfectly with colors you couldn't even make with the paint provided

If you coat the molds with a release like vaseline the figure would detach a little easier. Maybe you could use them as destructable stunt figures for long shots.

Damn, Godzilla looks like doodie after a long night of drinking IPAs. I saw a demo of the Terminator 2 Endoskeleton factory thing, where you can make skin for the T-800. The outcome was similar to this. The clay/mold only half works. Maybe in the 90s when this stuff wasn't so solidified it might have worked better, buy i doubt it. I remember the Trendmasters line very well. I especially liked the toy cities you can make the monsters destroy. I also had a few of those Godzilla Polly Pocket ripoffs. There were a few monsters that I had never heard of in that toy line because we never had the movies in the US at the time. Crossing my fingers for a Heisei era blu ray release🤞

I know buying acual Godzilla figures can be expensive depending on what you want but it's more worth it then trying to make them yourself.

I'm sort of glad I never got this as a kid. I would've been *very* finicky on how the clay sculpt looks nothing like the figures.

Thanks a bunch for posting this! I was indeed window shopping for this in hopes of making replacement heads for a special color variant 4" Mecha Ghidorah I have, glad I didn't grab it because the scale difference is hilariously bad. There's next to no info about it online, so thanks for making this review!

Reminds me of a Flintstones Paint a Figure arts and crafts line I had when I was little. Thing was, instead of Play Doh style molds, you had to mix plaster and pour it into a rubber balloon type mold and hope the thing doesn't shatter when you squeeze it out. Especially Barney Rubble's nose.

Tbh I'd buy the heck out of some cheaply painted resin bootlegs made with these molds. Reminds me of those extremely cheap, improperly cut and inexplicably sharp dinosaur figure bootlegs I'd get out of quarter machines as a kid.

If you want to use this properly i recommend crayola model magic since it turns into an easy to handle foamy material once it dries similar to the air dry compound seen here

Great video. I think those molds can be useful for stop-motion models. Just make a wire armature, then some Cosclay (It is real. Look it up), take it out of the mold, and bake it. Before you know it, instant stop-motion model! 🙂 Not bad, eh?
