Holly hell!!! This city was sooo detailed??? I'm absolutely devastated to learn that so much beautiful Detail was lost due to darkness Man idk why the director didn't show all this with at least half decent lighting Imagine being a artist in that team working so hard to make the city so beautiful and then it's just gone in the final edit

@@joshuacelani1857 You're right, not lost. To be accurate, they are covered by heavy smoke particle effects. Details are hard to be visible.

@@lolstuffenjoy9880 at the very least a member of its species is but as we’ve seen in this movie there are possibly a few of each species running around as we see with the muto in this movie. I doubt they would kill off the character fully while there is still plans for more of these movies to be produced.

A shame the color grading is so thick you can hardly make out the impeccable modelling detail. Still one of the greatest movies of 2019!

@@Al0_Vera Being a gfan doesn't mean he can't use common sense he's just choosing not to. Most of the people here are gfans it's just that some refuse to see the movie's faults or pretend the faults don't matter when others acknowledge the faults and willingly point them out hoping for the next film to actually improve in quality and he seems to be the former.

I loved the detail in the environment, too bad it was lost in the darkness of the water. I didn't catch any of this upon viewing the movie.

I hate how everyone says they can't see the details, that's kinda the point in the underwater part, if you go to deep, light can't reach anymore which makes it completely dark,

@@lolstuffenjoy9880 While that is true, you still have to have common sense on why the director chose this scene to be dark. If they made this scene brighter it wouldn’t look right because there is no object that illuminates the ocean this deep

Doesn't matter. Underwater scenes can still be lit in ways where you can convey how deep and large everything is while still being able to actually make out the details. Pacific Rim did it well, GvK did it well. KOTM did NOT do it well.

@@KingKong19100, master of cinematography, concept artist, model/asset designers and VFX departments don't really care about rendering things to look fake and exaggerated on a film like this. It's not Marvel or Pacific Rim. GvK looked liked they dipped it in Marvel Universe, that's for sure.

Wow, echoing all the other commenters. So much intricate detail totally obscured. I bet the 3D model makers cried when they saw their hours of hard work so badly displayed.

Yeah the worst part of the movie was the color grading ruining the beautifully composed scenes. Everything is either too dark or too orange.

Scene: murky, underexposed, with actors and surroundings barely visible DNEG: adds an insane amount of details, as if the scene would be recorded under a microscope in daylight

@Reyex Jans Lo que me llama la atención de este Anguirus es que es muchísimo más grande que Godzilla, pues la entrada que es destruida por la bomba y que está frente a él es varias veces más pequeña que el esqueleto, y Godzilla cabe por la entrada, este anguirus es ultra masivo.

@@Jesus-qv5sw Yo igual note lo mismo, y quizás conforme el esqueleto que se vio en Godzilla vs Kong y este, podría significar que quizás la especie de Godzilla podría llegar a medir mucho más de 300 m, más grande que Godzilla Earth y quizás, tambien el resto de las especies 😲

@@Andrix-fz8cj No creo, pues el cráneo que dices de dónde Kong saca el hacha tiene caninos como de mamífero y al mismo tiempo dientes de reptil o cocodrilo, pero no asemeja en nada la forma del cráneo de un Godzilla, así que no estoy seguro de que sea un Godzilla, aún así puede que si hubiesen sido mas grandes.
