You know, I think that this version of Godzilla didn't want to become "king" of all Titans in the beginning until he killed Ghidorah and saw most of the Titans 'bowing down' to him as they viewed him as their new 'king'.

*Not. At. All.* The way Godzilla's theme is coming to it's end just as that amazing photo of Hauro Nakajima in the Godzilla suit appears as a tribute to him was just perfect. I teared up big time the first time I saw that in the theater. I still tear up now whenever I see that part of the credits. The Godzilla franchise would never be where it is today if it wasn't for Hauro Nakajima. So no, it wasn't wrong for you - or anyone - to tear up at that moment.

I'm so glad Hauro Nakajima lived long enough to see this version of Godzilla. There's a story where Hauro was at the Tokyo premier of Godzilla 2014 & when Godzilla appears on screen for the first time at the airport, Hauro was heard saying in Japanese: "There he is. There's my *OLD FRIEND* ." I will forever be convinced that Michael Dougherty heard that story too & that's why Dr. Serizawa says "Goodbye *OLD FRIEND"* in Japanese when he sacrificed himself to save Godzilla. That moment & what Dr. Serizawa says (and saying it in Japanese - remember that was the only time we ever heard Dr. Serizawa speak Japanese in both Godzilla films) was a tribute to Hauro Nakajima. It had to be.

Coming back here reminds me when I watched the movie first time and it was phenomenal. Best Godzilla movie ever. I hope Godzilla X Kong New Empire would be one of the best as well. They teasing Scarface but I dont think hes the main villain. The movie makers are secretly hiding the main villain aka Shimu, the first titan, also a dinosaur but much larger and has Ice powers.
