Gotta be the plates for me; the one thing that did bother me tho was the ending shot like you guys mentioned: G-man seems to move a little too quickly...however! It could be because he's a little smaller and seems to be firing a cannon vs drawing a sweeping breath. Like he's shooting an atomic bomb vs letting the breath out...if that makes sense 😂

The fact Godzilla seems to move fast in this film, I think my husband will finally enjoy Godzilla without saying "Godzilla is just a fat monster who moves slow and isn't scary at all."

My wife was similar when we went to see King of the Monsters since 2014 and 98 were her only real experience with Godzilla when we came out her tune became "yeah I see what you mean" then we had to go get snacks and have a Godzilla marathon 😂

As a nerd who grew up on the 54 original I've never thought of him as scary. Of course I haven't seen every Godzilla made but of the ones I've seen he hasn't been scary, creepy and unsettling, yes, specifically shin Godzillas hollow, soulless eyes 🤣😂🤣

Saw this twice last week. Godzilla is pissed off and terrifying, and the human characters’ story actually carries any scene Godzilla is not in. It’s a very good movie and well-worth seeing in the theater.

@@Lumen-Weaver Oh I would never spoil. It happens to me all the time since in general Japan gets new movies way later than the rest of the world so had many major films spoiled and it’s not fun. Just happy I actually get to see a movie early for once!

It’s like the atomic energy is expanding inside as Godzilla charges up, like a puffer fish building pressure to expand. And when the plates slam back in his body, the pressure is redirected through his mouth. Kinda like filling a bottle with air till it’s about to pop, but you take the cap off and all the pressure escapes in one big burst. I’m thinking we won’t get a long atomic breathe like every other Godzilla, I think it’ll be one giant burst of energy

I am Japanese and I have already seen it and it is exactly what you think. This story is a cautionary tale about a country that now threatens the world again with nuclear bombs and the nations that are frightened of it. It is not a simple monster movie. Please watch it. It is wonderful.

Saw the second trailer earlier it was just awesome especially towards the end of the trailer with the spines protruding from the tip of his tail all the way to his spines on his back it was just amazing.

As grotesteque as Shin Godzilla was, making Minus One's tail spikes mutated to the point they have to pop out to fire his atomic breath is incredibly cool and a gnarly design, with it's own unique grotesqueness

This Godzilla is going to be an instant hit and a movie classic. A movie worthy of a library. I'm really happy that the decision to use the 54 Godzilla roar which is in my opinion is bone chilling to hear. It does seem to be cleaned up and improved. To hear that roar in a modern theater sound system will make hairs stand on end

Leave it to Toho. This film is going to be fantastic...!!! I just love the way he roars nearly identically to the 1954 Gojira. Plus, his dorsal spines when they are loading his nuclear breath. I do hope it's a lot slower than what we saw in this trailer. Because it would be rather ridiculous to have him move that quickly. Otherwise, this film will be great and i look forward to MUCH more from Toho moving forward.

God I can’t wait to see this - I’ve been watching Godzilla Movies since the early mid 70’s as a little man 4 - 5 - 6 yrs old. My Dad would wake me up in the middle of the night to watch All the Godzilla Movies WITH HIM ON TV - The good old days.

I actually like that he moves that fast. It makes it more like a canon. Like as soon as the spikes push in he jus POW. Almost seems as if it's involuntary and it's just how his body reacts to just a big force.

Looks like the tanks we see are later model Chi-To medium tanks. First time I've ever seen one represented on screen, which is neat.

I watched it yesterday and this movie is beautiful, Godzilla is terrifying, Ryunosuke Kamiki is gorgeous. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I’m going to see it again on Tuesday!

Gojira is Celebrating his 59th and I'm 59 years old. Grew up watching ALL the movies TOHO has put out featuring Gojira. LOVE EM ALL!!!! ALWAYS HAVE SINCE SEEING MY FIRST GOJIRA MOVIE. Yes, I use his Japanese name as it fits and sounds much better than the Americanized Godzilla. Unless we're talking the Blue Oyster Cult song Godzilla that is.

I live in Japan and saw it last night, won't say anything to spoil stuff but being a life long fan of the franchise... I think it might be the second best Godzilla movie made. The original still stands the test of time but this one definitely is a contender. Human characters were done really well too and the atomic blast is.... Perfect.

This is legit the best Toho movie, at least for me. I love how unique this Goji is, he's more of an *angry boi* and him charging up his atomic breath is awesome as well, it gives us a break from what we're used to. Also, if it has awesome train scenes, *I love it.*

Godzilla being a "angry boy"(Fn CRINGE) is unique to you? Its literally 4/5 godzillas and "destructive" is the first thing that comes to mind when the word godzilla is even said. "What we are use to" applies only to you.. Someone whos seemingly only seen the MV Godzilla movies and clips of Shin on youtube. For the rest of us, godzilla being godzilla is more of the same old.

So apparently the theaters near me are going to have an early screening on the 29th of november and they're going to show it not only in IMAX but in Dolby cinema as well. Saw the trailer yesterday right 22 minutes when it first came out and after i see it i copy paste the link and made a comment on your last video saying 'dangerville you gotta see this' it was truly epic cant wait for the movie to show up on theater. While hoping it actually will appear in theaters in indonesia without it being a letdown like shin ,i still remember it "SHIN GODZILLA COMING SOON" only for it to never played on theater like wth.

I love that lock and loaded spines sequence, it nice Toho acknowledged monsterverse's idea in their movie... maybe this spines build up sequence will become one of godzilla's recognizable trait...

This trailer ran the gamut of emotions, from sheer terror -- the small naval patrol boat trying to outrun Godzilla, to heartwarming -- the scenes with the child. I would be very disappointed if this very well-crafted film didn't win an Oscar for special visual effects. They are incredible! Many thanks, Alastair. Cheer-o!
