Man, I wish Godzilla's final, defiant roar in '54 made it in the film. Thinking it would've been best after he's forcibly pulled back to the surface. The mixture of ferocity and agony would've been perfect.

Great video!! This really shows my frustration with the sound design regarding contemporary Japanese Godzilla films; they just wanna reuse the OG roars without changing them. The best part, for me, about new Godzillas is getting to hear new roars. Legend-Goji & Godzilla Earth are the only new Godzillas I really love the sound of.

Most of these actually do come from the original 1954 movie if I'm not mistaken. They just got remixed, spliced together, and tweaked for each successive movie. 2014 sounds like score. It doesn't sound like a roar really.
