I find only thing that annoyed me was that he waited till the very end for a action scene that was mainly covered by darkness and the people views made it hard to see the action but I still really enjoyed godzilla 2014

It’s very unique and unexpected. It’s not a classical roar, regal and booming. It doesn’t sound like a dino. It’s more of a shriek, like that of an elephant.

The reason why kong got knocked over by one slap is because he is top heavy like any Gorilla. Godzilla has a huge and thick tail to act as a third limb and he is bottom heavy.

I love Michael dougherty and his work on Godzilla KOTM. UNDENIABLY a true Kaiju/Godzilla fan it was evident to me as soon as I saw it in Cinemas opening day, from how Kimg Ghidorah looked, Mothra, Rhodan etc. Especially when Godzillas and Ghidorahs first encounter in Antarctica and you hear that EPIC TOHO theme from Godzilla Vs Destroyah.

I can definitely see the difference in storytelling between the 2014 and 2019 films. I probably prefer the 2014 on the basis it felt more real rather than a more just full on monster fest. Just felt a bit superhero like in 2019. I enjoyed it as a monster movie but preferred 2014 as a more memorable film. Plus CGI didn’t look as great in 2019 as it did in 2014 imo.

I disagree everything 2014 did 2019 did it better, monster fight, design human characters and even the metaphorical part of the story. The one thing that had more promise than 2019 was the bryan cranston character and showing how much destruction these beings can actually cause

throughtout the movies, the movie lost that fear and eerie feeling when watching godzilla. the kotm totally turn the page around.. dont get me wrong, i totally love them both. it would be cool to have that scary feeling when watching giant monsters especially godzilla. and godzilla 2014 has all that, but yea theres less time scene for him, thats one of the downside and its so dark too.. now it seems the movie leaning towards pacific rims type of movie. it lost the scary feeling.. imagine if we can get both.. the screen time of godzilla in the kotm and gvk but with the scary feelings. that will be so so satisfying.

I appreciate the retcon of having these titans consume and be sustained by radiation, since any alternative doesn't make sense, even in the context of this fictional world. Just as the dinosaurs didn't rebound from an extinction event due to their poor nutrition vs. energy consumption ratio, in other words, a creature of the size of the titans would require a massive amount of energy to, simply, move around, and would require prey items of a either, a similar or larger size, or a large population of smaller, energy rich creatures that are able to maintain their numbers. Though, perhaps lazy in nature, the solution of having these gigantic animals find sustenance by absorbing geothermal radiation, is ,actually, one of the only feasible explanations, barring a ridiculous, fictional, stretch of the imagination.

For the camera person who looks like ED Sheeran. If you read this and ever wanted to teach someone like me who always dreamed of doing something like that, I am ready. Spent most my working career being a leader in the restaurant industry and wish I had the courage back then to ignore the compliments and try something different. Anything is possible, right? So why not write a cool story about someone who lost their way in 2020 but ended it by being a award winning camera person. If you’re young and reading this, don’t ever do something you don’t love doing. Be great every step of the way to your goals. EVERY.SINGLE.THING. Life is too short to spend any time on a career you’re don’t love. Choose who you want to be, and don’t lose 1 second getting there. Nobody sets out to fail, so don’t be afraid of making mistakes.

Gareth Edwards imo is way better than Michael Dougherty, he balanced dark and gritty realism with the fantastical awesomeness of Godzilla without restoring to fan service or nostalgia and directed a way better film than Dougherty did.

Well, to add: G14 was just structured better. KOTM hanged onto the belief and idea of more monster-screen time - which, if not executed well, could be a waste of potential emotional and impactful moments. I loved and enjoyed G14. I just loved KOTM. Eager to wait how GvK will deliver

@@miguelgcgamer9878 still ruins the whole monsterverse, any time a monsters fight near a city theres no reason why another isn't sent in. If it was an easter egg it would have been in the background and not a major plot point of the movie.

Now all we need is Gamera in the MonsterVerse (with permission from Kadokawa) so that they can build up to Godzilla vs. Gamera (and maybe King Kong can also appear in there as well).

My guess for the hypothetical build up to Gamera: Monarch discovers a mural within underwater ruins that depict a gigantic turtle-like monster as well as fossilized remains of giant turtles and a mural depicting a turtle, a dinosaur, and a gorilla.

Godzilla (MonsterVerse), the giant Prehistoric Amphibious Reptile (Titanus Gojira). Heights: 108.204 meters tall (G14), 119.79 meters tall (GKOTM) and 120 meters tall(GVK).

It's confirmed he's the same height in GvK as 2014. The 400 ft figure is merely an estimate used by Mike Dougherty in his movie as well

@@AlexSciChannel Today it was confirmed by legendary executive producer at the new size height of Godzilla and Kong. Converting from feet to meters Godzilla is 121.92 meters tall. Kong is 106.68 meters meters tall.
