Godzilla Premium Stern Pinball is AWESOME! Last night I fell in love again/ I got a chance to go to a local pinball enthusiasts house where he had the pinball machine of my dreams. Godzilla Premium from Stern. I got to test it out for myself as well as check out both Jurassic Park Premium and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Premium from Stern. Fin out my first impressions and will i make the massive investment and get a table myself?

I’ve had the Elvira 40th anniversary table in my online cart for months and I don’t know if I’ll ever pull the trigger. Growing up we had a pinball machine in the house and none of my friends and family ever played it. Ten times out of ten they would rather play Sega Genesis. While Elvira sat in my cart, I thought about how important pinball is to me. I love pinball, but I love video games even more. Pinball is also dying (it has been since the 80’s). There is a pinball arcade in the next town over with some of the best machines ever made, but they leave the machines off because the place is almost always empty. Instead of Elvira, my money has gone into Arcade1ups, including my favorite machine Tron, and to scratch that pinball itch; Star Wars pinball. I would think about whether you’re buying a machine for yourself, or for visitors in your house … if it’s for the latter, then I say don’t do it. But if pinball is your passion to the point that you enjoy them more than video games, then I say go for it.

Once something better than Godzilla comes out, then people will want to sell their Godzillas. Something better than that, then the next thing, and so on. Digital sucks having to wait and that sometimes tables go missing or a-holes try to sell them, but they're free and you don't have to repair them or have the ball fly over everything or get stuck every 10 plays. We've got Batman '66, Guardians of the Galaxy, and now Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast coming out. Three Spike 2 Stern games that are done down to the point where the play is seamless with the "real thing." Seriously, I played Guardians of the Galaxy both on my ALP and at the arcade in the same day. They're the same damned thing.

As the guy who helped with the rules document for that game... Godzilla is perhaps one of the best pinball machines ever made, and this is coming from someone who had absolutely no experience with the movies until the game came out. All of Keith Elwin's games are masterpieces but this one especially - the kinetic feedback for every shot you make is perfect, you have a great mix of easy and more difficult shots, and it offers something to everyone who plays it. I would definitely buy the Pro, especially with the final code update coming up. As for Jurassic Park - I love it as an advanced player but wouldn't suggest you buy it until you've had more experience with the hobby. A pinball expert's delight for sure, but not for everyone. And in regards to TMNT... I like the artwork, I like the display work, but I really don't like the scoring balance with ninja pizza multiball and how everything else scores so much less despite requiring more effort. Good location game, I wouldn't buy one though.

The first time I saw Godzilla, it took me exactly 2 plays to decide to buy one. I had the budget for 1 new pin, and I went with Godzilla Premium. It's the best game I've ever played and after 1000 plays, all I want to do is play it again. I hope you get one too.

12k is a tough pill to swallow. Luckily for me 30 min away is time line arcade that has a great pinball selection and godzilla is one of them. It is a true gem.

I'm in North Western Ontario and got blessed when a pinball themed pub opened 5 minutes from my house. It's definitely enhanced my love of pinball after I got A1up Attack From Mars. I think the pub has spared me from getting fixated on getting a legit table but there is a company that makes a killer premium digital table that I might steer towards.

Pinball is so much fun. Completely different than arcades. When my friends come over, they look at my wall of arcades and say "when are you getting a pinball table?" I tell them when I win the lottery

Great video 👍. I have Godzilla pro and love it. Godzilla is better and going to be a collectible classic. Godzilla Premium is 9,000 but pro is 6800. Remember pinball machines are vending machines which can earn $300 to 500 a month at a good location.

Either Godzilla Premium or Jurassic Park Pro. The Pro will save you 3k but you'll miss out on the moving head and the helicopter spinning. I have both and love them both as they're designed by Keith Elwin.

Probably under the radar and might not speak to you, but I bought an American Pinball Hot Wheels a few months ago and it's a blast. We have a lot of fun with it when friends and family are over.

Glad you finally got some hands on time. Godzilla is hands down stern's best pin ever. I have a deposit on one, hopefully will have it sometime next year.

I sold my virtual pinball and bought two real ones. Stern TMNT Pro and Deadpool Pro. Best decision ever! I would say get Godzilla Premium if you can swing the cost. TMNT or JP Pro are both good. GL Michael B!

I’ve played bothof these in Pro flavour- GZ is the more accessible table if you’re new to real pinball. JP is a sharpshooter’s game with some tight shots that will frustrate a newbie. Both amazing pins whichever you go for. My advice, try to play as many as possible before jumping in- you’ve picked two Keith Elwin games which have some amazing pinball moments

I'm pretty new to Pinball to be honest, it wasn't something I went for when I was a kid, I was all in for the Arcade games, but as I played some of the virtual tables I started to get in to them. There is an Arcade bar called NQ64 over in the UK that would have Pinball tables and I got to play a few real tables there, its a different experience on a real table, the lights, the noises, I can see why people love these thing so much. Personal preference I would go for Jurassic Park just because I've never been a big Godzilla fan, but honestly I don't think you can go wrong with those Stern tables

I think you made a good choice in picking Godzilla or Jurassic Park I currently own Jurassic Park premium. I’ve had it for two years. Every time I play it it’s like my first time especially when you don’t play it for a couple weeks at a time. I also have Godzilla pro on order from player one can’t wait to get it.

Living in Newfoundland it is expensive getting the machines here. The Canadian dollar hurts too. But for my 50th birthday I wanted a pinball machine, I went to player 1 in Montreal to have a look. I was initially going to buy Ghostbusters, but when I played Metallica I loved that pin. I bought Metallica for my birthday. I recently bought Ironman from player 1 . I love comics and wanted a Marvel theme. I really like the DMD displays over the LCD’s they are doing now.

Great video, Godzilla Premium is ranked #1 right now (of all pins of all time) on pinside. It dethroned Medieval Madness which reigned prior. BTW, they're not called "pinballs" or "tables". They are called "pins". Hope you get one!

I played Jurassic Park for a moment at SFGC. In my opinion it wasn’t as fun as Godzilla. Ghostbusters so far has been my favorite. Deadpool is a lot of fun as well. Can’t wait to see what you get!

If you get the table then you really need to reopen the arcade in sobeys square. Can go to frosty's and get half cut and play some games.

Godzilla is the most immersive pinball table I have played … Jurassic park is fantastic as well you just have to weigh and value your nostalgia for each one

My question is what is the upkeep costs? I'd love to own a real pinball, while the $8-10k entry price is steep enough, maintenance and repair is what concerns me even more.

All concerns drop with your buddy connection. Anyone with that should step boldly into this crazy. That you will be picking up a table he doesn’t have, but can help, is a perfect scenario.

I buy all of mine NIB or HUO with low plays and don't have problems. Just need to learn how to take the glass off and clean your game every now and again.

Hey Mike, that looks awesome I own a virtual pinball table with 500 virtual games on it it’s about half the price of Godzilla just something to consider I know there is no substitute for the real thing! my only issue is and I considered it buying a real one who will fix it if something breaks?

As cool as virtual pinball is, physical pinball is it's own experience that Virtually pinball can't capture. Have you looked at Deadpool pinball if Godzilla isn't available?

Godzilla is still on the line at Stern for new in box. Deadpool has one final run left and most reservations are sold out. Deadpool is about to be used market only within 6 months.

Save some money I have a pro it’s easier to maintain and plays faster as cool as the building is 1 month into owning you’ll lose the building thrill

Michael b he is right. As a top player in competitive pinball the pro plays faster and better. But if you really like the toys then it might be worth it for Godzilla. Jurassic is premium all day

Played both a lot. Was hoping to be okay with the Pro, talked myself into thinking it was the way to go. But after several games I walked away thinking the Pro just didn’t do it for me. The building shot on the Pro just doesn’t feel the same. Magna grab for building lock on every shot… it’s totally underwhelming. Mecha Godzilla spinner ramp with the magnet is super satisfying. The bridge breaking is cooler than I thought it would be.

Wife & I have a decent salary! Think she might really kill me and then divorce me, if I purchases a 8,000+ pinball machine. I better start of w/ a digital table for under a grand!
