Godzilla, the savior and destroyer of the multiverse, his time had come. He had vanquished Destoroyah, without a doubt, one of the most powerful adversaries he had to face. And yet, the victory had come at a price. His heavy heart had reached a nuclear meltdown, forcing him to be subjugated into an agonizing death, all too painful for him to bear. Everyone who had played their part in the battle, from Buzz Lightyear to Optimus Prime, were horrified at the sight, almost as if they could feel Godzilla's pain. Many of them were brought to tears as the King of the Monsters began melting away, combined with the assault of the Japanese military. It was all too much for them. They all paid their respects to the fallen hero, who had saved many worlds on many occasions. Godzilla gave out his last roar as best as he could, taking his last breath before completely disappearing into nothing. The King of the Monsters was dead. ... But not all was lost. Like that of a phoenix, a familiar figure rose from the ashes. Taking in the radiation left behind by Godzilla, his spawn, Godzilla Junior, reawakened. Not only was he alive, but he became the spitting image of his predecessor. Everyone was at a lost for words. Hope had returned to them as they welcomed the newest hero into the metaphorical cast. Godzilla Junior was next in line for the title of King of the Monsters and the throne of his father.

@@aquilesgarciaperez5918 Yeah that maybe true but Japan has a strong sense of honor and remember during the first fight in Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla Godzilla waited till said robot was on the ground before waiting to attack and remember with DinoBot from Beast Wars he was originally a Predacon before he joined the Maximals and fought alongside them against his former comrades till that episode where he sacrificed himself to save that valley of the Protohumans as unlike his fellow Predacons DinoBot had a strong sense of honor so in some ways even though he was a monster Godzilla was in some sense the same way as DinoBot.

Captain America-Earth has lost one of her best defenders. Optimus Prime-Indeed. Ozpin-But we cannot let this loss stop us. That is not what the King would want. Qrow-We need to keep moving forward. Rambo-This may have been the hardest hit we have taken. Godzilla Junior-I will do whatever it takes to fulfill my father's duty. Ruby-You wouldn't be alone Junior. Oscar-We'll be beside you the whole way. Buzz Lightyear-To Infinity... Woody-And beyond.

To me, the death of Godzilla will always be the saddest moment in the history of Motion pictures. Even sadder than the deaths of Littlefoot’s mother from the land before time and Optimus Prime, as well as titanic and the rugrats movie.

Now this is one amazing piece of work, and fitting tribute to honor the anniversary of Heisei-era Godzilla's final movie. I am a HUGE fan of the Heisei and Showa era films that feature Godzilla, and while the modern ones are okay, to me the best Godzilla are in the past. You showed real depth and emotion here with the characters witnessing the melting death of Godzilla, as he managed to win against Destroyah... but at the end, could not save himself from the immense radiation he had absorbed when Birth Island got destroyed due to the uranium on the island losing its impurities that kept it from exploding. This was just something to see, and in a way reminds me of the reactions the Disney characters showed in my third Disney/Toho story called "Monsters and Magic: Burning Finale" when they witnessed Godzilla melting like so. All in all, this was a masterpiece here! A fitting tribute to the classic Disney and classic Godzilla of Toho that I choose over all others. Keep it up!

I don't know if anyone else knows this but I heard that after this movie came out Toho Studios said they were gonna retire Godzilla for a while as in about 10 years but after the disaster that is known Godzilla (1998) Toho Studios decided to bring the guy out of retirement about nearly 6 years early with the first film of the Millennium Era Godzilla (2000) Millennium beginning in (1999) so sadly if Godzilla (1998) had done better we wouldn't have seen any of the Millennium Er films till (2005).

I remember watching this as a child on Sci-fi channel during a Godzilla marathon.... it was the last in the marathon. I just remember being confused and sobbing as I watched it by myself in the living room , Godzilla was like an idol to me

Man the members of G-Force and everyone else was so focused on watching Godzilla die and being worried about Tokyo being turned into a radioactive waste land the idiots apparently completely forgot about Junior who happened to be near his father as he was melting down and all that radiation coming out that Junior's body was absorbing all of it so in essence Junior saved all of Tokyo in the end.

How could they not know Jr. was there they all saw him fall onto that spot when he was dropped by Destroyah so either those guys in GForce were either blind or complete idiots and that it was until after the radiation levels started dropping that they realized it and that Miki was the first to sense Jr.'s resurrection.

They all were focused on defeating Destroyah and reducing Heat from Godzilla's Meltdown.... I advise you change your observations once more....

It's sad that just a few months after this movie came out the man who was responsible for giving us Godzilla had passed away and I didn't even know about it till I saw this program on Animal Planet called 'It Came From Japan' where it was mentioned that the famous Japanese film Producer Tomoyuki Tanaka had passed away and it was awesome that 2 American Godzilla films were dedicated to 2 great Japanese icons of the film industry Tomoyuki Tanaka and Haruo Nakajima Tanaka for Godzilla (1998) and Nakajima for Godzilla:King of the Monsters (2019).

like the fairies said in Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S. 'Human Beings should learn from they're mistakes and correct them it is the only way they can redeem themselves' apparently these idiots should learn from those lessons and mistakes and take responsibility for it instead of thinking the only way they can solve they're problems is either destroying it or burying it and in the case of Godzilla they think the only way to correct they're mistakes is by destroying Godzilla but everyone knows he's the true victim as he was created by man's weapons in particular nuclear weapons but human beings are apparently dumb,stupid and arrogant in trying to destroy things they don't understand since they are not the victims in our conflicts with nature nature is the true victim with everything we do to our environment everything from deforestation to nuclear testing to dumping of toxic waste to nuclear accidents like Chernobyl,Three Mile Island and Fukushima to ozone depletion and just about everything else that we're doing to this beautiful blue world we call home because if we don't stop we're most likely going to end up just like the Dinosaurs 'EXTINCT'

Man just watching the J.S.D.F. open fire on Godzilla like that is heart wrenching I mean attacking him knowing he can't fight back because of what was happening to him it was almost as if the J.S.D.F. was looking forward to this being able to attack Godzilla without worrying about being attacked by his Radioactive heat ray and without Godzilla being able to defend himself if not for the seriousness of the situation what the military was doing would be considered dishonorable and cowardly to attack something that can't fight back and like I said even though they were doing it to mitigate the damage of the meltdown it was still so wrong in so many ways.

Just to give a touch of context for ya. Yes the military was attacking him, but their attacks wasn't meant to try and kill him. If u missed it, the guy in the anti-Godzilla aircraft said: "Cryo Laser". They was all utilizing freezing weaponry. It was a timed attack for the moment Godzilla hit meltdown status. They would throw ever bit of their freezing arsenal at him in one big attack to prevent the MASSIVE meltdown that was to happen if he was just left alone. So their attacks had a purpose, not to kill him, but to save they planet from the massive meltdown that would've destroyed the planet. ^^

Yeah but I'll bet that one Japanese General who throughout the entire Heisei series was obsessed with destroying Godzilla like in Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla where they were gonna use Project T to take control of Godzilla but he wanted to use M.O.G.E.U.R.A. against him as they called it the Ultimate Anti-Godzilla weapon Ultimate Anti-Godzilla weapon HAH we all know what happened to that robot it was blown into so much useless junk so some members of the J.S.D.F. most likely didn't care about Godzilla's death as far as they were most likely concerned he was just a destructive animal that needed to be put down.

Alucard2029 Dude you don't really know the franchise as well as a lot of people the J.S.D.F. and G-Force in particular have been trying to kill Godzilla for years especially that guy General Aso he was obsessed with Godzilla's destruction and if the Big Guy wasn't going through a meltdown or a nuclear explosion as mentioned earlier in the film he would still have found ways to do it even using Super X-3 and the cryo weapons they had at they're disposal to do it or get that guy who was experimenting with oxygen in a similar manner to the original Dr. Serizawa he might have forced that guy to create a modern day version or find a way to recreate the oxygen destroyer which we all know from the '54 film was the only human weapon proven effective against giant monsters Godzilla in particular as Aso would have found whatever means necessary to achieve his goals and remember at the beginning of Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla where they created M.O.G.U.E.R.A. Aso wanted to use the robot to kill Godzilla saying that Project T wouldn't work and remember with MechaGodzilla remember how confident he sounded when they watched said Mecha use the Plasma Grenade for the first time after the robot absorbed the energy of Godzilla's heat ray and after the robot destroyed Godzilla's spinal brain if Rodan and Baby Godzilla hadn't gotten involved he would also do whatever he can to make absolutely sure Godzilla would never rise again and if MechaGodzilla had won that battle and Godzilla died I hate to say it but I wouldn't be surprised if Aso turned the robot on Baby Godzilla and kill him too to make sure he didn't grow up not caring if the baby was friendly towards humans as Aso would most likely say 'A Monster is a Monster it is better to kill him now and prevent him from growing up and becoming a threat to humanity'.

One thing I've always wondered about is on that monitor that was showing the radiation readings when it showed the readings were off the charts one thing I had always wondered about and that is what did those three letters on the monitor stand for so if anyone knows I sure would like to find out.
