I love how this basically kept the original arrangement intact and didn't bury it with metal tropes and gimmicks. Just the original score dressed in chains and leather.

The theme was composed by Akira Ifukube 65 years ago. The Bear McCreary version is technically a remix.

I can only imagine how Akira Ifukube would feel about something like this. This is gonna sound cheesy because it is, but I grew up watching Godzilla all my life, so when I randomly put this on in my car I got tears. My girlfriend doesn't understand why I cried in the theater in 2017 when I saw King of the Monsters. People who didnt grow up with Godzilla just don't get it.

@@YarugumaSou I mean it wasn't a good movie in a lot of ways, but I knew what I was getting into. I was taking my young son (biggest Godzilla fan I know) and he was blown away. For me that made the movie, watching his wide eyed awe at the final encounter... Worth the ticket price. I got what I wanted, so overall positive experience even if I personally would never watch it again.

By the way, I love this rendition. Great work! Also - I think it'd be neat to have this rendition as a soundtrack in the movies. During an intense fight scene with a few allies coming together to stop a powerful enemy. The scene with Godzilla and the military side by side to fight Ghidorah in the 2019 movie felt moving, so there's an example.
