Godzilla vs Kong is finally here! And I’m really biting my tongue so I don’t use the term “roars into theaters and select homes” because everyone else is! But it’s true. The two legendary Alpha Titans have finally crossed paths after a few movies worth of buildup. From 2014’s Godzilla, to Kong: Skull Island, to Godzilla: King of the Monsters, the Monsterverse has built up quite a rich mythology. But come on, who cares about a dense background story and a crazy ancient history when you have a giant lizard and huge ape with an axe fighting each other!
But of course, if you’ve seen Godzilla vs Kong already, and if you’re watching this video, that’s probably a given, you know that Godzilla and Kong aren’t the only two fighting! MechaGodzilla made a surprise appearance, forcing the two Alpha titans to team up to help take it down. It was an insane ending! And we’re here today to break down everything you need to know to understand it. What did Apex Cybernetics ultimately want? What are Kong and Godzilla going to do now that their big fight is over? Nah cuz Godzilla is the king and Godzilla (almost won the first battle but got tricked) and won the second battle in Hong Kong because Kong was dying after the fight

Actually most people are saying that Godzilla did win the first fright, as Kong would have died. Then the Hong Kong battle was depicted as two parts, with Kong winning the first one and Godzilla the latter, making Godzilla the winner. And yes, even though Godzilla won, both him and Kong are alpha titans, as we only see these two destroy and kill other kaiju. And having Kong as the king of the Hollow Earth would allow Godzilla to be king of the surface.

2:41 u do realize when the axe dorsal fin glowed godzilla became aware of its presence and stop its tracks. i mean look at his head movement, he was looking around where that came from

I think it was more after that temple was glowing. Cause godzilla would have sensed that energy. The axe however, glowed every time godzilla charged himself up it seemed.

I do think they really opened a new chapter for another Kong film with the whole hollow earth experience. Then another Godzilla movie in time. Pending if toho decides to play ball considering this was the last film in the contract. I'm sure after the final profits made from blue ray/dvd so on, Toho will gladly re- sign for more legendary films.

Exactly... But the girl did tell kong that Godzilla was not the enemy.. so he didn't want to fight anymore.. But Godzilla is the ALPHA.. Always ready for a fight.. But once he saw that kong was not willing for a fight, he left in peace.. Now that's BADASS!!! 😎

I think, Gareth Edwards' approach in 2014's Godzilla was the best of them all. Since such a great Monsterverse movie won't be happening again it should be rest in peace.

A few things most seems to let it pass without notice on the movie. The reason why Mechazilla went Berserk is because they were using one's of King Ghidorah brains. Meaning that, when filled with the power of the core - which was stated that is the origin of all titans - make it became sentient again. That's why we saw Mechazilla trying to kill Godzilla by blasting his bean into his mouth. It doesn't seems like Godzilla was trying to actually kill Kong. In every fight, Godzilla left him alive for no reason, and we all know how Godzilla like to finish their foes. And finally, I don't know about Kong species being the Apex of Hollow earth. Remember when Kong activate the power source in that throne room? Remember which Titan was depicted on the floor? To me, it's looked like Godzilla species - or maybe the one and only Godzilla itself - was the master of that temple, with Kong species as subjects and enforcer, but that last one was just my perception and wild guess.

Godzilla - The fact they are not really meant to live in one roof, He accepted or respected Kong and let him live in his so called HOME (Which is also his home but decided to give it up to Kong). Kong - Respected Godzilla and leave the rest to Zilla to live in upper world and don't need that axe (Made to kill Lizards) to kill more of Zilla (Lizards) like monster since they decided to part ways.

In real life Gorillas are able to easily able to kill human but jaguars routinely eat them.. The reason is Ape are able to do kill humans bc of the strength but they absorb damage the same way as a human. Jaguars and brown bears are predators and built to do damage and take it. There Organs designed to move around under their skin.. Godzilla f***** Kong up they had to restart his heart. But then Kong helped save Godzilla. And sort a peaceful solution which seems a rather gorilla thing to do. Really good ending.

One thing I hate about the Hollow earth is the wormhole thing. It makes no sense, even within the context of the film. It would of been better if it were like a giant lava tunnel or underground whirlpool or something.

Maybe the next monster they are gonna fight is like an egg that gidorah layed many years ago and is several times stronger and bigger then him. Then not only Kong and Godzilla could come togheter to fight but every titan that was awakend by gidorah. That could be a good beginning for the next one if there is gonna be a next one of course.

This story, if not a movie seems like bedtime story parents use to tell to children... A giant ape got an axe made up of lizard bones, able to absorb the power of the lizard with super nuclear power, then he teams up with his villain the lizard to deafeat a fake lizard ... Then evryone happily lived after that.....

the way i see it is by teaming up to help godzilla (cause even though godzilla techincally did win initially they were still very evenly matched) they came to a truce almost theyre both kings godzilla runs on top kong in hollow earth. equals in their own right and mutual understanding and respect earned between the both of them when they teamed up. kind of like how mothra is the Queen of monsters. they can form symbiotic relationships as proven before. they may never necessarily "get along" but i think and this is how i took it they just have a mutual respect for eachother as alphas after defeating mechagodzilla together

If they continue they should bring Ultraman in the mix! Not sure if anyone remembers Gozilla vs Ultraman back in the day he's part of it too.

I would want to see another movie, I guess where ghidorah came from and more of his titan kind come to earth to battle kong or gozilla or both, I'm interested in how ghidorah made it to earth and why he went to earth.

The Kongs didn't lose the ancient war, it was a war of attrition. Godzilla and Kong were the last of their kind still standing.

@@TheGeechman The movie implied an ancient war between the Kongs and Godzilla(s) not involving the other mega-monsters. The cave drawings implied there was a special rivalry between the two.

I want more Gojira. But I’m cool with the old school “dude in a rubber lizard suit” of the 60’s and 70’s to keep the budget low and make more movies. 😂🤙 As much as I love the effects and roar of New Godzilla, there was something awesome about the original. Silly? Of course. But classic, like the sound of Tie-Fighters in the first Star Wars. Nostalgia at its finest. Oh, and bring back Ultraman. In fact, go nuts...let’s get Voltron into this too (both versions), plus Transformers, Thundercats, Power Rangers, Ninja Turtles, He-Man...NO LIMITS!

They could introduce alien species, like humans are by this movie capable of space exploration that let monster like gidorah to came to earth. Or maybe a solo Cong movie with humans trying to disrupt the ecosystem like the Avatar movie

Gamera is currently owned by the Kadokawa Corporation, not Toho. So the deal to use Godzilla and other Kaiju didn't include Gamera,

I would love to see more about this cynematic universe but between the scene showing how Kong and Godzilla defeated every other Titan, Gidorah being killed then brought back as Mecha Godzilla and then destroyed once again, Kong and Godzilla parting as frienemies, where could you even take these cynematic universe?

I know this is a little old but it’s explained in the novel that he dies due to Ghidorah possessing the pilot first then the mech. It was technically Mecha-Ghidorazilla.
