I would love to see a Mothra solo movie and also a son of Kong movie that is similar to Kion the lion guard while we can also get a Kong: hollow earth movie where he has a rematch with Camazotz again and the fact that we saw Tiamat make an appearance at this point it's possible to see Camazotz make an appearance, also I would love to see Gamera rebooted into the monster verse and also have a movie where the big three team up Godzilla King Kong and Gamera, and I think everyone wants this but bring in Biollante Megalon Gigan and Destoryah and possibly mecha Kong under the influence of Scar kings flesh ice pieces those are my ideas.

Definitely think they’ll be a 3rd because we need an end to the king arc. It’s already established in the movie, Godzilla can’t die because without him mankind would be doomed in the movie without him. Kong we see him get really beat up in this movie.

I think because the build up took so long. Scar king appears, Kong hurts his hand, moments later Scar Is riding Shimo in Hallow Earth.

Skar king was a fantastic villain tbh. I thought he'd be more silly and not that great but i wanted to see more of him. Wish we got more screentime of shimo and skar king. The fight scenes were short although kaiju scenes were plenty

I was thinking about how this movie should have started... Like showing Earth 100,000 years ago. Right away we see Godzilla, Shimo and Mothra battling Ghidorah and Shimo does freeze him, it's a short fight. Then later the trio separate as they have done their duty but it's clear that Shimo is Godzilla's friend. As Shimo goes to his lair, the crazy apes attack her and Skar King shows up, managing to take part of a crystal from her and use it to command her. Then we see Godzilla and Mothra come by his lair and even call out to her and since she doesn't respond, they follow a trail of ice to where the apes are and then Godzilla and Mothra are ambushed by the ape army and a reluctant Shimo forceyd to attack his allies. Then Godzilla and Mothra trap them in the pit because they can't fight an army. Flash forward to today and the movie begins.

There needs to be a build up to either "Destroy all Monsters or Final Wars" but with a compelling story and awesome action scenes that involves classical monsters and new takes on MV titans. Also there needs to be more lore and development with Godzilla's story and continuous reign over Earth.

I would still want more MonsterVerse movies. It’s safe to say it’s showing a little more consistency than the now defunct DCEU and MCU Phase 4 and 5. You can see some comments saying how much they love MonsterVerse and it’s their current favorite universe. I’m not saying I love Monarch: Legacy of Monsters or GxK, but I would like the lore to be expanded with more titans even if the human characters suck ass like they usually are in most Godzilla/kaiju movies. I didn’t love Monarch but I wouldn’t mind a second season of it. Is Godzilla x Kong (or should I say Kong x Godzilla?) my favorite movie of this year? Um, no. Then again, I haven’t seen a lot of movies this year. I doubt it will be my favorite but I did have fun. I think the leaks and the theories ruined any possible surprises I wanted from it. Shimo was already spoiled by the Playmates toys back in December. There was already a plot leak of Kong punching Godzilla with the BEAST glove. The trailers showed pretty much all of the best scenes from the movie. Warner Bros. is notorious for this as the final trailer for Batman v Superman spoiled the final act with Doomsday. That’s my problem with it. People were leaking the plot as I’m aware this was shown over a month ago with early screening and everything happened according to those spoilers. There really were no surprises and it’s not like we were expecting Godzilla and Kong to lose in Rio. Godzilla x Kong is basically WWE meets buddy cop movie but with kaijus. That’s the gist of this movie. Lots of bullshit talking from human characters we don’t care about over stories we don’t care about. Typical protocol from Godzilla movies. Then the big fight scenes at the end which it did deliver. The moment we saw Kong use Suko as a weapon, that’s when we know this was not going to be Citizen Kane. High IQ is not required to watch and enjoy fast food entertainment like this.

Who else thinks Bernie (Brian Tyree Henry Character) having action figures of Godzilla and Kong is a subtle reference/tie in to the Pacific Rim Universe. In the PR universe its canon that the Kaiju became infamous to the point that action figures and toys were made from them. Imagine a crossover movie in which Godzilla, Kong, Mothra and all the Monsterverse Titans are referred to as "Golden Age" Kaiju. The timeline doesn't align properly now but the Monsterverse has a time travel hack for that (Axis Munde for the Monarch Series). It would just take a talented writer to figure out the kinks 😅...

@asiankid66 it would be difficult to amalgamate the timelines, but there are some overlaps that are worth exploring. For instance, in both universes, the first worldwide Kaiju event happened in the year 2014. Both scenes include bridges as well. I'm not sure if they are the same bridge tho. Though with a talented writer and story element like Aliens, Pocket Dimensions, Time Portals and weird Cosmic energies, it should be easy to whip something up 🤣 .

i went to see it yday , and i think it was a really well put together movie . def worth going and watching if u like action , fighting , monsters , and new stuff . i also tihnk the sound tracks was pretty neat tbh i didn't exspect it. and far as the ppl rolls i wont go in to detail but i think there a bit of everything . sad , happy , love , funny , smart as , scared , all the feelings really and i think Adam windgard needs to keep making em i like both movies he has done and i really enjoy getting to see more kong in these movies , over all id give it 9 out of 10 review , only thing for me is i wish it was a bit longer , not that it was sort but i could of stgayed and watched that type of movie vibe for a long long long time lol so yeah maybe one day we could get one that is as long as the avatar movies or something , thanks Adam Wingard for making an amazing film and thanks DangerVille for everything u guys do with reviews and clips and all the other things

Adam Windgard recently said that he wants to do a Godzilla centrick film next. If so, I hope the ledgend about eating a star is alluding to Space Godzilla. Maybe Gman will get the Kong treatment, and we'll see Minilla, then followed by a spin-off series where Minilla and Kong Jr. go on wacky adventures together.

I also get this vibe that Eric Voss is arrogant. I'll have to do some searching online to see the story with Disney because I had no idea they had anything to do with it. Thanks for the info!

I loved the movie. I think Godzilla instinctively powering up was just dope. He learned from the fight with Mecha-Godzilla better to be prepared than a punching bag. I think Kongs story is done. Godzilla's story has been told and we understand his purpose more now. I do think a Motha movie might be ok but not sure about the threats they could use. Ultimately they still have 95% of Hollow Earth to make up stories with if they want. I want to see them do Jet Jaguar or Ultra Man to create a Human balance of support since we are adapting to co existing.

Only thing close to a disappointment was not ever finding out if Skar King had anything to do with Kong's family coming to Skull Island to escape him but everything else was a massive banger to me.

According to Toho's agreement with legendary , godzilla cannot die in the moonsterverse . But if Godzilla has to die , he must leave behind an off spring. So this basically means the monsterverse is here to stay and will continue for a long time. ( im guessing that if we get a final movie like giant monsters all out attack , godzilla might die and someone like mothra or kong might raise a small gojira . I'm begging the monsterverse to make Godzilla and ghidorah to team up against a destroyah level threat , so that in the end everyone ends on a somewhat happy ending please )

@@NoSc0pe78yearsago that would be totally one sided. Ghidorah has 3 heads while mecha has onky kevin . Ghidorah will surely overpower the mech but nevertheless a very interesting hypothetical ( i want a godzilla ghidorah team up )

If you look closely in Bernie’s room, the monster poster in Fords room when he was a kid in Godzilla 2014 was in Bernie's room in this film!

just watched it now and I really did enjoyed it. Though I though I wont be able to enjoy it because of watching Godzilla minus one but this is a great movie. The story had more focus on the humans instead of just kaijus battling the whole film. haha I really loved the ending too! Godzilla, Kong, Mothra, Baby Kong (forgot his name or is it even mentioned? haha)

I'm a lifelong Godzilla fan but I'm old now and I really love the horror/villain Godzilla films 54, 84, Shin and Minus One but this movie was fun. Mindless but fun. I never felt almost offended like I was watching the Transformers movies. My 10 year old nephew loved it. After all these Legendary G films are gaining a whole new generation of G fans and that's a good thing

I am hoping if they do make another monsterverse movie, that it'll be a solo film or films and leading up to another team up with Godzilla. I would love a solo film with Mothra, Rodan, or maybe a new original monster. Then having a big final showdown like how Thanos or Ultron was like. Either Space Godzilla or Destroyah.

As much as i love what Adam W doing in GxK i think for solo Mothra movie we have to give it to other director. A goofy fun monster brawl is not fit for Mothra, i think more grounded mystical with deep meaning movie that focus on story rather than the entertainment aspect is more fit for Mothra

For the next movies I would really like to see Mecha-King Ghidorah which I think would be cool. I think they should incorporate the alien aspect from the classic Godzilla movies to introduce space Godzilla.

being mothra and godzilla was on there and shimo blasted ice beam up to the sun , i kinda feel like the ground work was laied for space godzilla. i mean they cant make him the same way as b4 but mothra touched zilla / and both godzilla and shimo beams hit the sky so that would be perfect to make a crtyal g cell in space esp with the pink .

The movie was a lot of fun. Almost too much action to absorb. I thought the best fights scenes were the first Scar King and Kong and later with Kong and Godzilla, they seemed to be most realistic and well shot. The last one was simply mayhem which I get. I would have liked to have seen some more definistion of Shimo with Godzilla and Kong at the end. It was hard to believe they would not stop fighting.
