I still don't understand why he did this. Like millions of years being alive as a power hungry tyrant, you finally get to the surface world and you can't even keep hold of the crystal as soon as you get it back? He could've easily kept a hold of it while dodging godzilla but decides to drop it. Like imagine how it would've been if he instead had used the crystal and distracted goji with Shimo then tried to gang up on goji. Idk that's just my opinion tho

I mean we already see how Scar King makes up for his lack in strength with agility in his fight with Kong, and yet he STILL gets picked up and smashed into the ground by him. That was pure desperation.

Naw shimo was strong enough to justify it. Every time godzilla managed to tackle shimo it was because skar king was using the crystal to force shimo to help him against kong, shimo even took a direct atomic breath and it affected it less than godzilla's non-evolved breath did to ghidorah in 2019. Even the official novelization states that shimo is the strongest thing kong ever fought which includes godzilla, and that godzilla was actually only equal to shimo when he was supercharged like the beginning of this clip. To top it off, the novel even states that godzilla wouldn't have been able to break out so quickly of shimo's ice if mothra didn't stop the breath from adding more to it, and shimo was strong enough to yeet godzilla halfway across the city and keep him out of the fight for a little bit, hence why skar king and shimo started attacking kong more together. And this is all while shimo is being slaved around by skar king unwillingly. The fight between shimo and godzilla was like a heavyweight vs middleweight, with godzilla only matching shimo's raw output while supercharged. The dude caused the last ice age for petes sake. Godzilla wouldn't kill tiamat if he didn't NEED the extra radiation. If he really was someone who got a powerup to end the fight earlier rather than out of necessity, he would've done so before fighting mechagodzilla. But he didn't because shimo is strong as hell. Shimo alone would've decimated godzilla without the pink radiation form. He definitely needed the powerup.

Shimo (in control) was the real threat. Skar King wasn’t. The only reason Adam Wingard said something about Skar King being the “biggest threat” in the entire MonsterVerse is mainly because of his ape army (fodder, I know), and Shimo (the mother of all titans).

Shimo was giving Godzilla an issue, Skar King's the fraud.

Lemme break this down. Adam stated that if Goji in GVK was at 100% and not tired he would’ve beaten Mechagodzilla(he even stated he would’ve won their beam clash). Godzilla evolved in GXK is stronger than thermonuclear Godzilla and Shimo fought this version of Godzilla and not only kept relative pace but also had the upper hand most times. She tanked the supercharged beam from Evolved Goji with no visible damage which is confirmed by the novel to be Godzilla’s strongest attack ever beating out the pulses that decimated Ghidorah and Kong’s axe charged swings which easily tore apart the mech. Shimo wins

The GvK novel offered an explanation to that basically, Godzilla himself isnt radioactive, he consumes radiation, but his body turns it into a different energy (the same one they extracted from the hollow earth to power Mechagodzilla) which is what he fires in his atomic breath and pulses

It didn't hit him full on, the outer surface just barely grazed him. He got a much softer graze then Kong did in GvK. Kong got a direct hit but only for 1 second where as Skar didn't get a direct hit he got grazed by the outer surface of the breath.

It didn't hit Scar King's back fully, the beam would've flickered otherwise to indicate that if the beam was weak, and would've made a hole in Scar King or pushed him away and burned him Ghidorah-style if it wasn't.

Did he ever get caught with it?
