If you're looking for anime from the 80's, I'd recommend Star Blazers. It's an interesting, fun show.

This was the first time I've ever seen the show for a long time I remember when it first came on TV and I really did enjoy it this was the first cartoon series

A bit late, but yeah, I was born in the 90s, and there were reruns of this show at the time, and this was my introduction to Godzilla, so when the 1998 movie came out, I thought was supposed to be based on this cartoon, at the time, I thought that this was the only Godzilla property that existed, obviously I was wrong, because a few years later, I was introduced to the one that started it all, it was a Godzilla a marathon of the older movies, so yeah, can't bring myself to hate this show for introducing me to Godzilla.

Ironically enough, the 1998 had a cartoon based on it, and the basic premise of it is weirdly similar to this cartoon. Minus Godzooky, which was probably for the best for all concerned parties.

Same. This was my first introduction to Godzilla. It wasn't what got me into the franchise, I was old enough to find it cheesy, but not old enough to appreciate how cheesy it was. Now that I'm older, and a huge Godzilla fan, I've decided to rewatch it for the first time in years. And it is just as cheesy as I remember, but in a charming way, like the Showa era.

The same here - it was my first introduction to Godzilla. In Poland, in 1991,I guess. I was some 10 years old. Later in VHS renting store I saw Heisei Godzilla movies and the 1st I asked for rent was Godzilla vs Biollante... Then I watched all Heisei Godzilla movies, rented on VHS till Godzilla vs Mothra, rest few years later in Polish TV, on TVP 1. That was good times back then...

One could argue this is negative. They're dumping it on the internet in a free-to-watch form. Seems like it could be an indication they had decided they have no further use for it. Or maybe they have some other motive, like publicity? 'cause they use this channel for preview trailers too.

@@Seth-Halo terrible movie and cartoon was worse watched movie cause it had the Godzilla name on it quickly figured out there was no Godzilla in the movie and have never rewatched it bought a DVD set of Godzilla movies many years ago and the American Godzilla was in it....it went straight to the trash

Hanna Barbera was not able to get the rights to the roar so they had Ted Cassidy make his own roar.
