ssj4 multiplier is not as great as even SsG. While ssj4 multiply base form by 4000 at most, SSG does by at minimum, 200 K times. The only reason Ssj4 seems that powerful it's because goku's baseform in GT is awfully powerfull, being as strong as he was in Ssj3 in buu saga. In the case of Vegito being more powerful, there is a bonus power that pottara brings to the fusion if it is performed between rivals. This bonus of power is not delivered by metamoran fusionm

Toriyama himself stated in battle of gods movie that ssjG was Goku's strongest form until that moment (including ssj4). If we consider the non canon built by Toei which is Gt and Heroes, we get a LOT of incoherences like everyone fighting at Ssb level, roshi using mafuba multiple times, the SSj rage of trunks, the spirit bullshit sword, Toppo using hakai in a tournement where you can't kill your opponent, etc. I know what u r gonna say, toriyama also makes continuity errors, but compared with all the errors made by Toei in db movies, anime and Heroes... it's practically nothing.

But again, considering Gt as canon for itself, Ssj4 is not just powerful because it's multiplier X4000 to base form, but the fact that base Goku is MUCH stronger than base Goku from super. Let's put in context, while base Goku from super is at max twice or even 4X stronger than base Goku from Buu saga, Gt Goku is as strong as Goku Ssj3 from the same Buu saga. The same applies for Goku gt from heroes. SSj4 looks powerful but doesn't bring a multiplier that great as SSG which is HUGE in comparison. We are talking about a multiplier of 200 K times base form. If you ask how I calculated that, that's the maximum multiplier brought by an hypothetical Vegeto Ssj3 which, stated by Goku, wasn't strong enough to match Beerus, something but with SSG he look a chance. About it, it has been stated that both, Goku and Vegeta conserve their memories from the fusion. by the way, a director from gt episodes stated that Goku Ssj4 is almost strong as Vegeto ssj1

Its not Vegito from the Goku Black arc you bufoon. They're using equal Goku and Vegeta. Using Goku and Vegeta from the Goku Black arc would make no sense.
