I was a white kid who graduated high school in the DC area suburbs around the mid 90's. Our school was pretty multicultural and I listened to a lot of the originals of gogo back in the day because several of my friends got me into it. I fn loved the genre and style right away, it's truly awesome. I sit in my studio sometimes at night and put it on, jam out while I smoke a little. Now I'm just a late 40's white dude with a true appreciation of the music decades later. DC GoGo is classic DC music.
