Those 3rd party headsculpts are ssj2, the ones with the figure are ssj1 which is why the hair is spiked up less. That old figure you compared it to is also ssj2, I assume they'll eventually give us an updated 3.0 ssj2 gohan with the ripped clothing before they move on from the cell saga refresh.

@@SonicTheH12370 I believe he is actually 9 in the manga at this point. 4 When Radits attacked, a year of training with Piccolo, so 5. A few weeks on Namek. Then 3 years training with Goku and Piccolo, then the androids show up. Then a year with Goku in the time chamber preparing for Cell. So yeah 9. Cell got whooped by a grade schooler. To be fair, Cell was probably only like 3 or 4.

I'm glad Figuarts stopped going in so much on the shading. I do not miss Awakening, and SDCC SSJ Goku's candy corn ass hair. I do not miss the weird brown shading all over the front of the pants on Full Power SSJ Goku. I don't miss the, I got P'd on by R Kelly SSJ3 Goku of old. The pale yellow of the I'm chilling in SSJ full power on the new Gohan, is the best ANY of the SSJ hair sculpts have looked so far.

@@OpenPLEASE I enjoyed them back in the day (except pee stained OG SSJ3 Goku, I skipped that one). We have just got better aesthetics on the new figures. I wish I could say the same for the QC.
