Gohan has fought the Saiyans, Frieza's men, the Ginyu force, Frieza himself, Garlic Jr (who he actually defeated),the androids and spent an ENTIRE YEAR doing nothing but fighting GOKU! He has plenty of experience.

goku just knew that when gohan goes ssj2 that cell wont stand a chance, bean or no bean. tbh if cell didnt have the bean he wouldnt be as cocky, and he might not have given gohan the chance to go ssj2 or tried to draw it out, and just killed him.

Gohan means lunch in Japanese, so the English version just started talking about food for no reason and English audiences would not understand that point when Mr Satan's crew started talking about a delivery boy to go get lunch. Also Vegeta said in Japanese that he cant believe Gohan could have that battle power as a kid, he makes no mention of Gohan ability to beat Cell, they changed alot of the dialogue from the OG japanese version.

Every reaction video is same, calling goku stupid. I never looked at it that way even back when I was a kid watching dbz. Goku & Vegeta are the only one's who give Gohan the respect he deserves. Gohan has fought in worse situations then this plus he almost died multiple times as well. And giving cell a bean was pretty fare considering he didn't destroy the planet and gave everyone a chance in the tournament.

When the cameraman talked about taking order is because Gohan means meal in japanese. So, when Son Goku said it's his son's turn the journalist thought he wanted to order a meal. That's why they thought Gohan is a delivery boy.

Can you imagine the fierce whirlwind going on in Future Trunks' head at this moment? He's witnessing the child version of his mentor (F. Gohan) positioned in this role once again - the only one left with relevant enough power to defend Earth against not only an Android again, but the final evolution of Gero's ultimate Android! One thing I always wondered was, why Goku didn’t just use his instant transmission to have Dende heal him?!

Here we go. Goku, he was born and raised in the wilderness. He only knew what he saw in the woods. He was a child of discovery and when bulma found him, he didn't even know what a woman was by the age of what? 5-7? He spent the next couple DECADES exploring the world. He is no where near normal. He also found out he was an alien, so comparing him to anyone other than himself is absolutely not fair at all. In our worlds, yes, what he did was absolutely wild but he is not us and there's no chance we should or could compare his decision making to ourselves. What he knows to be right and wrong are more natural and primal. He isn't some chuck or joe living in a city, they live in the wild. As far as the choice, think about this. In the past 5 years, goku has nearly died about 10 times. I'll list a few for you. Vs Ginyu, frieza, heart virus, androids (hunting him and being very much stronger than him), Cell, vegeta's fight in the beginning (multiple times, actually), he nearly died on the space flight to namek, as well. And now he faces someone who is unequivocally stronger than him currently. All this time, he has seen countless times where Gohan hits above his bar consistently. When we first saw gohan, he was stronger than Goku AND piccolo combined. The kid is a child prodigy when it comes to power. Goku isn't even supposed to be alive. This isn't Goku's fight. He isn't going to be around forever. Can you imagine the next enemy that shows up even stronger than Goku+cell? Goku needs someone to take his spot when he's gone, and who better than his son to take the reigns and lead the world? His son knows compassion and love. Vegeta can't do this and none of the earthlings can either. Goku sees something in his son here and it takes a lot of watching and rewatching to see all of the potential, ideals, and thoughts. Goku wasn't there when Frieza and his father showed up, what about then? Who's going to save people in those scenarios? Sure he could have teleported, but he needs someone to be able to match or beat him with all of the crazy amount of bad guys showing up. Gohan is his son and his legacy, and it fulfills the prophecy that the show first introduced since the first 5 episodes of the whole entire series to put his son at the biggest baddest villain in the universe. This originally was going to be the end of the series, second only to the end being where Frieza died. As you guys know, there's tons left of this show, but what's important to know is that this was supposed to be the ultimate end of the show. This is necessary. This was meant to happen. This is the way it should be.

Go get him, Gohan! Give Cell what's coming to him!

The right moment for Gohan vs Cell has finally come. This fight will be the best in all of Dragon Ball Z so far, second only to Goku vs Frieza when Goku activates first time SSJ. Gohan have hidden power SSJ 2 full and kick ass Cell. Of course, Gohan does not activate this power immediately, he needs many impulses to push him forward. He will take beatings from Cell, but it will take a long time for the right moment to come. For now, this will be a warm-up. Everyone is shocked and in disbelief that Goku appointed his own son Gohan but he believes in him very much and they trained intensively in HTC and Gohan is the strongest of all the Z fighters here. At the end of the fight with Cell, there will be a flashback to how Gohan achieved the ascended SSJ or SSJ 2 13:07 A beautiful moment of Gohan's full SSJ activation, it's not SSJ 2 yet. The secret is to increase strength without losing speed, and also to increase it. This is the path to ascended SSJ.

Goku clearly said he isn't strong enough to veat Cell. And has said Gihan is stronger than him. Hes there best chance at winning.

Goku fight Cell first to ensure that Cell's potential will never beat Gohan when he release his full power. Yeah, and even with a senzu is no different, but he want Gohan to believe in himself and save his own future. The Japanese version said that if Gohan want to be a scientist, he must fight for his own future (even as a kid). That's an understandable Saiyan way of warrior, not WESTERN culture about OVER-PROTECTING a child.

I believe in Gohan I always love him from the first time whem I watch him as a little kid I also believe that he and only he can do this. This is why Goku is so confident that, after all, both him and Gohan spent a lot of time training together in the Time Chamber. Goku saw something that gave him the belief that Gohan is the one you guys will find out. And one thing I was always curious about when Goku gave them Cell the sensor Bean they showed everyone else reaction. But didn't show Vegeta's reaction. I wonder how he felt what Goku did, and even though Vegeta sees Trunks as a burden, he wouldn't do that to him. And Hurcle 😂😂😂 I said it once, and I'll say it again. I know you guys would enjoy Hercule. When Goku picked Gohan it showed how much the Z Fighters cared for him in a way they were like his big brothers very protective of him. Even Vegeta, who doesn't really care about Gohan and it's not too fond of him, disapproved. You heard it in his voice when he said Kakarot. And that's a lot coming from Vegeta because Trunks his son is not his favorite person. But I don't think he would even do that not to mention throw them a sensor Bean to make them stronger against his own son I just always found that interesting.
