Basically every(!) a.-hole worldwide, male, female or intersex, is a 'hurt person hurting people.' 'Hurt people hurt people, & happy people help people.' I was impressed that Jessica didn't try to cheat with Jimmy, even though they almost became a couple, & Jimmy said Jessica was attractive, obviously. I have way more respect for Jessica now, knowing she was tragically abused in foster care until getting adopted at 16. I hope she finds a decent boyfriend, and thanks for publicly admitting you have a stomach disorder (same with Natalie saying her sister has a stomach disorder). Most Americans/people keep that secret, out of incorrect 'embarrassment.' Vaccine injuries can cause stomach disorders.

52:32 NICK i just want to say i'm SO GLAD you, as a man, are calling out Harry's horrible manipulation. You are literally saying my exact thoughts and making ALL THE RIGHT QUESTIONS 😭♥️ we don't deserve you. This podcast is gold!!! Being that said, I hope Jess open her eyes one day. Just bc you don't wanna hear or aknowledge that someone you love manipulated and used the most sensitive topics and triggers and the most important person in your life to get to you, doesn't mean it's not true. You might "know deep things" about harry, but that doesn't erase what he does to women time and time again.

@alitaylor1235 stating that someone doesn't know their worth is not putting them down. She even said she has a bad track record for choosing men which means she doesnt know her worth. And you do not take someone's words as truth if you know their actions to be the opposite. Anyone who is serious about getting married and simultaneously knows their worth would never give Harry a chance especially since all his transgressions are fairly recent. You can't use this weak example as a reason to say that men don't want women who know their worth as if Harry is representative of men or even a decent human.

Sadly, Jess doesn’t get it. She was absolutely played by Harry. Jess saying that she doesn’t want to believe that Harry manipulated her doesn’t change the fact that he did. Now that Jess has had time to watch back her season of Perfect Match and process what really happened hopefully she can change her thinking about Harry, Because, true healing and real social-emotional growth will not happen for Jess until she can accept and admit that she was wrong about everything that she thought was a great relationship. The fact is that Harry has gotten much better at being a Cad. Hopefully all women watching him will wisen up about how some men can lull them into a false sense of romance bonding.

I love this conversation and as a trauma mentor we misunderstand trauma often it doesn't have to be some big T trauma it's any experience that we internalize that feels unsafe to our psyche and physiology. Especially when we don't have that attunement from a caregiver. These shows like love is blind is triggering someone's trauma they should have a trauma mentor for supporting the wounds that are being opened. Some people are not as self aware as you Jess. And I can relate to wanting my mom to choose me I was emancipated at 13. You are beautiful inside and outside. Trauma healing is ongoing. 🩷

Yes, we often have a tendency to romanticize things, even if they may be toxic or unhealthy. Our brains naturally seek to make sense of things, and once we create a context or narrative around something, it can provide a sense of relief and comfort. This is why getting back together with someone can give our brain that context, even if it may not be the best decision for our well-being. As a trauma mentor, I understand the desire for a happy ending, regardless of whether the person involved may be considered a "bad guy" or not. We all crave that sense of closure and happiness in our lives.

So happy Jess found a family in the end that was a good family!! Not all of us from the system have that because it’s seriously so corrupt. I ended up with a family who should have never been able to adopt me and my brother. They shouldn’t have been allowed to adopt a dog. They had a lot of money and it was all they cared about. He was a funeral director who moved me to a new state bought a funeral home, made a commercial about our “adoption story” and when I started school everyone knew me as that adopted kid. He manipulated me with money because I never had it growing up until finally I left them at 17 and never turned back. I’m now just out here with no parents at all. The system fails us kids that need a family and place us with people who aren’t really looking out for us because unfortunately they don’t have the space for all the kids so they just try to place kids wherever they can. Again so so happy for Jess, I feel more connected to her now. I always kinda saw myself in her, and now I see it makes sense.

It was honestly super cool that despite nick’s poking and prodding, Jess refused to use this platform to trash talk. Really respect that, and while I can’t ever know her personally (to nick’s point), I do find it personally helpful to see examples of such maturity!

1:14:21 girl so you're saying you believe all this "I wanna make lunch for autumn with you" stuff, saying you think he meant it, but you know he's not showing up when he has the opportunity to actually be there and walk the talk... ok😒 Also, if you don't know why he had you there: you're super pretty, your love is blind debut was coming, he knew you were gonna be the new 'it girl' like francesca, like... wym? Sex? Be the guy who always gets the girl he wants? Be forreal, you said it yourself: He is extremely inteligent. I don't like him, but I agree. He is outsmarting you & I wish you clarity soon! ♥️

A significant number of people, particularly women, have Crohn's disease and autoimmune diseases that are associated with early childhood trauma. I'm not sure if you are aware of this or if you have studied it, but there is substantial research that provides evidence linking autoimmune diseases to early childhood trauma. Specifically, these diseases often manifest in the stomach and gut region because our gut is often referred to as our second brain. It is crucial for our digestion and overall well-being to be in a state of rest and restoration when processing food. However, for many of us who experience constant stress or hypervigilance, this can contribute to the development of autoimmune diseases. I appreciate you shedding light on this topic!

I think a lot of people that label horrible ex’s as narcissists are actually getting it wrong when a lot of them are actually sociopaths. Saying someone is chasing clout and just self absorbed is really diminishing just how damaging these individuals are to the average compassionate person whose emotions are just play things to them.

She is so easy to listen to and it is such a pleasure for me because to hear someone speak with self reflection, genuine intentions, compassion for others, who takes ownership and accountability as that foundational approach to discuss lifes challenges- is the most relatable person that I have found. I have had the unpleasure encounter of dating someone that I wanted to believe their intentions and character but actions showed me otherwise, and the strength it takes to leave when you feel trauma bonded, is very underrated. It was a hard reality to break in my thoughts and in my heart that there really are maliciously intended individuals hiding behind kind eyes and likeable personalities. It took me 6 years to come to reality, and so I know her strength and the value she rightfully places on herself.
